  1. Allen is really looking sharp
  2. If I hear one more time that Lee Smith is a good blocker
  3. I'm most interested in seeing the run game from the starting O, since we didn't get to see much of it last week.
  4. I don't agree with that. A QB can definitely elevate the WRs more than vice versa, but let's not pretend like a WR1 won't produce if he's got the goods regardless. Just look at some of the QBs that Josh Gordon played with in Cleveland...or (even though people pick on him) what Sammy Watkins was able to do with EJ/Orton/Tyrod in his first 2 seasons here. DeAndre Hopkins put up huge numbers with Fitzpatrick, Osweiler, and Brian Hoyer.
  5. I guess the question is: can you name 16 WR duos that are better? I think it can be reasonably argued by a neutral observer that all of the following are better: Edelman & D. Thomas, Anderson & Enunwa, OBJ & Landry, Green & Boyd, Hilton & Funchess, Hopkins & Fuller, Hill & Watkins, A. Brown & T. Williams, K. Allen & M. Williams, Cooks & Woods, Fitzgerald & Kirk, Julio & Ridley, Thomas & Ginn, Evans & Godwin, Diggs & Thielen, Golladay & Jones, Cooper & Cobb, Jeffery & Jackson (or Agholor for that matter). That's 18 pairs of WRs right there...and I left off a few borderline duos like Samuel & Moore, JuJu & Moncrief, Sanders & Sutton, etc.
  6. I love green salsa. I usually use Serrano peppers though. I also add a TON of garlic.
  7. Good plan. The butter and oil coating will go really well on the venison!
  8. I just made a pretty simple yet tasty chuck steak dish... Cube up a large chuck steak (1lb or so) and season heavily. Heat olive oil in a skillet over med high and drop in the beef. Toss and turn the beef until seared, and then turn off the heat. Drop a few tablespoons of butter, a few chopped cloves of garlic, and some fresh rosemary into the still hot pan. Baste the steak bites with the garlic-rosemary-butter continuously for about a minute. Remove from the pan, rest, and serve with whatever starch you have on hand (I made mashed potatoes because that's what was in my pantry).
  9. No doubt. Actually, he's an ideal fit for the LDE role in McDermott's scheme, and he's got the versatility to play on the EDGE, at the 7-tech spot, off the ball, etc. This staff LOVES versatility.
  10. I see no reason to believe he wouldn't...or, perhaps more accurately, there's no more reason to believe that he wouldn't than there is to believe that he would. He's been a total wrecking ball the last 3 seasons.
  11. I guess I need to understand why some folks are proclaiming this as fact? I'll post the stat again: since 2016, there are only 3 players in the NFL that have more than 50 TFLs...one is Aaron Donald--the best defensive player in football... ...the others are Cameron Jordan and Jadeveon Clowney.
  12. So, no offense intended here: it sounds like when you said "most fans" didn't know who he was, you meant yourself? Because if I didn't know who the guy was, then yeah, I'd think it's sheer lunacy to wonder why someone wouldn't want him traded.
  13. Yes, I liked the Ford pick. I said in the lead up to the draft that I thought Ford was a player that you draft hoping that he can play tackle, but knowing that he can play guard. But that has absolutely nothing to do with Nsekhe. You sign OL players in FA because you have a need, and you have no idea if the OL guys that you like in the draft are going to be there when you pick. After that, you play the best player. I don't care if guy is 45; if he's a better OT than the guy competing with him, then he should play. Now, I've said multiple times that I would trade Nsekhe (or Dawkins) for Clowney, but the idea that nobody had a clue who this guy was 3 months ago is silly.
  14. That's kind of presumptuous isn't it? I mean, I know more than a few of us were really hoping that the Bills would sign him. He's been very good when called upon in Washington and has started games at 4/5 line positions.
  15. Hey, McCaffrey is going to get the better of a LOT of very, very good players in coverage. He's superb.
  16. I am 100% sure that he was winning the punting competition last offseason before he got hurt. It wouldn't surprise me in the least if he won this one, and punted quite well.
  17. But what about his short stint with Atlanta?
  18. You mean the only player besides Aaron Donald with 50+ TFLs over the last 3 seasons?
  19. The same Mario Williams that had 37 sacks in his first 3 seasons in Buffalo and was a back-to-back all-pro?
  20. I'm curious as to why you think (a) effort will be an issue and (b) 50% of Bills' fans would agree with you? Meaning no offense of course
  21. Yup. They drafted my boy Tytus Howard in round 1, so they don't need a 10-year LT. They need a reliable LT for the next year or so while Howard gets his body up to snuff to play LT at the NFL level. If you're Houston, and your trying to get something for Clowney now instead of letting him walk and getting a 3rd round compensatory pick, why not trade him for Peters and a 3rd today? Philly just drafted Dillard, who can step in at LT right now.
