  1. Shoot me if you'd like but unless they are playing the Bills or Colts, or unless a loss by the Pats benefits the Bills (yeah right) or Colts, then I am rooting for New England. I'd much rather see them win the division than the Jets or Dolphins.
  2. Book: Riding With The Blue Moth Movie: Good Will Hunting Album: August And Everything After
  3. We won at Ottawa, wearing our white uniforms. The third jersey was worn at home...and we are winless at home.
  4. Not going to tell you how to feel, but for the life of me I can't figure out how people refer to the Levy years/Super Bowl years as the toughest time to be a Bills fan. Yeah, losing to Cincy in the AFC championship game, to Jacksonville in '96 and to the Giants, Redskins and Cowboys (x2) sucked. But we had some incredible regular-season wins and great playoff performances that included victories over good teams. Just in the AFC championship games, we beat Elways' Broncos, Montana's Chiefs and Marino's Dolphins. Throw in the fact that we were relevant...the media cared, other team's feared us, and other team's fans envied us and I'd say that those were the best times to be a fan. It sure as hell beats the present-day garbage.
  5. Ugoh was cut several days ago so I'm not sure why this story is just surfacing here. And as a resident of Indianapolis with ties to the state of Arkansas, I can safely tell you that Ugoh sucks. He is not an NFL tackle. The Colts moved him to guard and despite injuries and concern about depth, the Colts let him loose. And apparently not one team in the NFL has thought enough to bring him in for a look.
  6. One of the weakest divisions in football? Not even remotely true. And even if it were, it's only because we pull the division down so much. Look, I'm not trying to be Negative Nancy, but please spare us the wishful thinking. You hope to see some of the young guys improve? You want us (for once) to have a relatively injury-free year? You want the coaching staff to not lose this bunch and keep them positive (an important thing if we're ever going to snap out of this funk moving forward)? Fine. But don't talk about winning the division, winning 8-10 games and the other nonsense I've read in my 10 minutes on the board this morning. You can make a solid argument that if you ranked separate units 1 through 32, we would be in the bottom five at the quarterback position, offensive line, tight ends, wide receivers, defensive line and linebackers. We suck. Terribly. If it turns out I'm wrong, I'll be the first to admit it. I hope I am wrong and will gain no level of satisfaction by being right. But if we win more than four games this year, I'll be stunned. This is not a knee-jerk reaction to two poor performances to start the season. This is based on what I have seen from this organization for many years. Chan Gailey and Buddy Nix couldn't possibly fix this mess quickly. Time will tell if they can fix it at all. Here's hoping they do.
  7. Or Dan Pastorini or Brian Sipe. Or any of a number of quarterbacks who had their moments but as of 2010 are washed up. Jesus.
  8. Baltimore, for sure. To see the looks on everyone's faces after we hang 38 on them is going to be priceless.
  9. I had a dream last night that a hamburger was eating ME.
  10. Wouldn't you know it? The Saints score a quick TD and a Green Day song plays as they go to commercial. Granted it was the "Saints" song. Guess that beats Careless Whisper.
  11. Like a couple of others have suggested, to each his/her own. But I'm really surprised it took 13 pages for Green Day to get mentioned. Not a fan. At all. I am glad to say that my favorite band hasn't been mentioned.
  12. I, too, was in Little Rock last week. It's obvious that the Razorback fans love the kid and they think they have as deep a receiving corps in college football. The problem with the team appears to be on defense so the pressure is going to be on the offense to put up plenty of points. With the SEC competition Mallett is going to face week in and week out, scouts are going to see what this kid is made of. From what I've seen, I think he is very close to Jake Locker but certainly behind him a bit. I haven't seen enough of Andrew Luck to judge him.
  13. I have a ball autographed by Kelly, Thurman, Andre, Bruce and Tasker. And I have a authentic jersey signed by Thurman, courtesy of a silent auction at the TBD home opener tailgate.
  14. Of course it doesn't have ALL of the facts. I didn't suggest that it did have ALL of them. How could it? It takes 45 seconds to read. But yeah, you're right. I don't have a clue. I'm not privy to such information. At all. (But seriously, thanks for the conversation. I've had some great laughs. Can't/won't talk about it further.)
  15. This article has facts, not excuses As to your other question, I can only guess that juniors and seniors can transfer without sitting out because of the postseason ban. Others have time to either transfer (and sit out a year) or stick it out at USC and eventually play in the postseason (towards the end of their collegiate career). As for transferring within the league, that is a Pac-10 rule, not an NCAA rule. Like all of these decisions, they are made by committees made up exclusively of adminstrators from NCAA member schools. So if SC, or your Tide, has issues with the penalties, their beef is with their peers. Or you know, they could avoid all of this by not blatantly cheating.
  16. You have it all figured out. That's exactly how it happens. You too, Ramius. Carry on.
  17. Maybe Darin's point is (and apologies for speaking on his behalf) is Josh Reed would still be the second-best receiver on this team if we signed him today. And if spent his career in Indianapolis, for example, he would have had a productive enough career where he would still be in demand by someone at this point. For all the talk about our crappy quarterbacks and our shaky offensive line, when I'm snooping around TSW I rarely see any posts about our awful receiving corps. I can't remember an NFL team having a more unproven group of guys.
  18. Thanks. Your handle is top-notch. Is that Scotch-Romanian?
  19. For those of you near a TV, ESPN2's First Take is about to have a profile on our new WR from UConn.
