Agree. Once a player gets that mega bucks contract, a significant edge is lost and the competitive fire is somewhat doused in many players (not all). How do you discipline a multi millionaire. He may do what he's told but i truly believe he's snickering inside...these guys are making way more than the coach......

Also, if he tried to catch the ball with his hands it more than likely would have been broken up as well as the defender hit both his arms on his follow through. would have been a miraculous catch either way...

ok, i watched the play and the replay in slow motion on tivo three times and it clearly shows that the defender had his right arm at Roscoe's waist level while the ball is in the air. When it arrives, the defender had his arm at chest level and his arm knocked the ball away. No way was that a drop, period. The defender just made an excellent play on the ball. It was clearly knocked away when it hit his forearm..... by the way, the pass was indeed on the numbers, unfortunately, so was the defender's arm...

i'm gonna go watch that play again in slowmo on my tivo and get back to you all..

We have tried playing with the 12th man but it has always resulted in a penalty for too many men on the field...We have also tried playing with 10 men at times... what's your point...

From what i saw, the defender had his arm across Roscoe's chest and knocked the ball away. The only way he could have possibly caught that ball was to come back and reach out with his hands. But then he would have been out of the endzone. Most catches on the goal line are caught and cradled with the body as you are normally hit right away. Not Roscoe's fault at all - the defender just made a good defensive play,,,,

You remember and/or attended practice sessions in Elma on the knox estate - I was there. Remember Billy Shaw, Al Dorrow and others.... We sat on the 50 yard line below the press box, sat next to Van Miller's wife and used to talk to Ralph Wilson while he was in the press box... Remember the smell of cigar smoke in the air... Used to walk from Morgante's Bar and Grill on Jefferson ave to the stadium....

I don't like JP at all, but I guarantee that if he hooks on with another team as a starter (unlikely) when that certain team comes to the Ralph, he will kick our collective butts. Count on it....
