I don't disagree with that. Okay, are you now saying verbal harassment is okay if the person is inappropriately dressed? I suspect what JW is talking about is the non-quotable stuff, the on-background stuff that helps the reporter place things in proper context. None of that stuff is available at the podium or on live TV/radio (unless you're talking to Clinton Portis, that is).

I agree. Banning media from the locker room is pretty much akin to blaming the media for the players' bad actions. Bottom line is the players are paid a lot of money, are public figures, and are required to be accessible to the media, as JW says. It's not a stretch to also demand that the players (and coaches) comport themselves with a modicum of dignity and respect when providing said access. And to those who are stuck on the way Ms. Sainz dressed, do you also argue that rape victims "deserve" it?

My worst experiences at the Ralph, and I have been going for over 30 years (including to a Browns-Bills game in 1980 when the rowdiness was actually much worse than it is now) have been with Canadians. Interestingly, this is not true at HSBC, even when the Loafs are in town. I wonder why that's the case. Discuss.

When I was in the 18-34 age bracket, I didn't really care who stood up where, largely because (a) I could stand up for the whole game; (b) it wasn't a huge hardship on my dad, who was in his 50s and in good shape; and © I didn't have kids whose views were blocked by standers. At 41, honestly, (a) I don't feel like standing for three hours when I paid good money for a seat; (b) my dad is pushing 70 and definitely shouldn't have to stand up for three hours; and © my kids have a hard enough time seeing over people sitting in front of them without having to deal with standers. So I've seen both sides of it and I truly believe there is a middle ground. There's a time for standing. The whole game is not it.
