  1. Was the Jets GM sleeping??
  2. I was pleasantly surprised when Klein's hit on Wilson wasn't flagged. Not that it should have been but it seems like crunching the QB that hard draws the penalty even when it's perfectly legal.
  3. I never understand when people say this kind of thing. Obviously GMs tank with roster decisions sometimes but do you honestly think coaches go to their players and say "Ok guys, we're losing this one on purpose. We gotta make it look good, so go score a touchdown but then James we're going to need you to fumble ok?"
  4. In a way he got us McDermott because the Pegulas clearly went on a mission to find the highest character coach rather than the next splash hire.
  5. Rex bringing IK in just to screw with the Jets was a low point for the Bills.
  6. Daboll's obviously awesome but this is ridiculous. How could it ever look like a "foolish decision" to keep your winning HC instead of firing him and promoting the OC? Even if it were possible that would destroy the locker room irrevocably.
  7. Every Jets player has to stop themselves from punching Gase in the jaw probably 5 times a week.
  8. He's got something of an awkward top heavy build even for someone that size. Walking joint damage.
  9. Credit to any Jets player who gives maximum effort. Being on that team must be such a depressing numb experience. I remember that Dolphins team that almost went winless but acted like they won the Superbowl when Cleo Lemon delivered a win and I was impressed by the fire. This Jets team is about as fun as dialysis.
  10. Flacco with a worst pass of the year candidate.
  11. I think I win more money at poker games from stupid drunken sports wagers than poker. His logic was that Allen would spread it around but that Darnold would throw at Perriman 15 times a game. Nooooot quite.
  12. In 8 weeks I get to collect $20 from a friend who insisted Perriman would have more yards than Diggs this season.
  13. The guy hates losing more than we hate him.
  14. Assuming standard scoring, the Pats should need a shutout or a defensive TD to hit 14. I'd say you should be cautiously optimistic.
  15. I don't understand why some folks obsess over the national media so much. Allen has gotten a ton of positive press this year and now Tua is because it was bold and controversial for Flores to pull Fitz and so far they're 2-0. Here's the thing - now that we have a great QB that will perennially make us a playoff team, we should WANT Tua to be great. Screw sneaking into the playoffs because the rest of the AFC is bad too. Give me a bitter rivalry. I want to watch legendary matchups between Allen and Tua, Allen and Herbert, Allen and Lamar, Allen and Mahomes. Let the Pats and Jets be the dullards of the division.
  16. Amongst those that seem constantly discouraged, there is one overriding principle - that wins are fake (or at best flimsy) evidence of a good team whereas losses are real evidence of a bad team. So to the most pessimistic mind we're 0-2 in games with convincing results and 7-0 in games with unconvincing results. Then there are the skeptics who genuinely see a SB win and a SB win only as a success and don't think we're quite that good yet. I don't have that perspective myself but I respect it seeing as it's the standard that good players and coaches have.
  17. 4 years old. Proud graduate of Carousel Nursery School.
  18. I was just musing about how Josh had an easy 415 yards with 4 short field drives and a lead the entire time. If we'd been trailing at any point and didn't cause all those turnovers he might have had 500 by the 3rd quarter.
  19. For me it was actually the two consecutive sacks before Tre's interception. It had that ineffable feeling that the Seahawks' heads were now under water.
  20. One of the critiques that I always heard from Vikes fans is that Diggs would disappear from a game and have no impact. Having watched him for 9 games in a Bills uniform I'm just going to assume that was a Kirk Cousins problem. Any QB not looking his way 10 times a game is a fool.
  21. There are just too many good QBs in the NFL right now to think you're going to get anywhere by rushing four and trying to disguise coverages. Maybe we can do a little of that against Lock and Tua this season. Otherwise we need to keep throwing this amount of pressure. Yes, you give up chunk plays sometimes because of it, but hell we were giving up chunk plays anyway. Plus we saw today the impact it has on turnover differential.
  22. Not sure if it's about warm weather per se but I think the worst he looked was the KC game and I'd be surprised if the rain didn't play a factor in that. The cold and windy Patriots game, I think he actually played quite well but he was only asked to throw 18 times so he didn't really amass yardage.
  23. Genuinely happy that the trade also worked out for Minnesota who is high on Jefferson understandably. GMs love having trade partners when there's a win-win because they'll be back.
  24. 9 teams in the AFC still have 3 losses or fewer. Why'd the NFC pick this year to suck ass?
