One thing that is crystal clear after last night. Chiefs need Kelce more than they need Jones. The Chiefs offense just looked discombobulated without that big lug in the middle of the field and at the goal line.

What surprised me today was seeing even Simms doesn't have the Bills making the playoffs. My Boy Blue I guess is last year's moniker.
I think how they play on Monday will go a long way to refuting or confirming opinions. It is definitely a stiff test to start the season.

I was in a casino and asked the book what the odds on the Sabres winning the Stanley Cup. I was told +4000. So I put 10 bucks on it. When my son approached and asked me what I bet I told him 10 on Bills to win AFC East and 10 on Sabres to win it all. He asked if I was throwing my 10 bucks away. I said probably not going to win it all. To which the bookie replied simply “Not going to happen.” 😀

That’s a tough break for the Phins. Big investment and unlikely to get much return on investment this year. And speed guys never seem to come back full tilt. Especially guys that need to trust their knees with sudden changes of direction.

With each one of these deals, the NFL's QB with the top salary stands for Not For Long... I remember when Kelly signed his then top salary of 5M/yr and we were all wowed by the number. 5M bonuses are now thrown around as stat achievements. Crazy.

The Bills are loaded. Let the media fixate on the Bengals. AFC East is more competitive for sure. But it's on paper at the moment. The AFC West was loaded last year and it was on paper too. My gut tells me Josh and Co will be there when it matters.

If I had to hazard a guess, you were either too young to remember this or you were not alive when it happened. I've heard this opinion before with the younger generations that didn't live through that day and the year that followed. For them it is an item in the history books much like WWII was for me. You probably don't remember the fear that overtook this country. You probably don't remember the approaches to the airports barricaded as cars were searched. You probably don't remember the images of "fly or fry". You probably have not been to the memorials at the Pentagon, Shanksville and World Trade Center. It's not your fault that you don't have an active memory of the first responders running into a collapsing building or those that worked the pile. But the comment is completely insensitive to those that served and the ones that persished. Such a shame you will be inconvenieced by the extra 15 minutes to start the game.
