The only thing I can think of is that the toe is just sapping his athletic ability. Samuel does have a lengthy history of injuries nagging him so this wouldn't be surprising. Good news is we are coming up on the bye week soon to let these guys nicks and injuries heal.

Turf toes NEVER seem to heal in season..  The bane of a receivers existence.

  2. Diggs was him..  Seems to me that his attitiude changed in Buffalo when his receiver's coach went to Miami and his OC went to NYC.

Thanks for providing additional details…it was a long time ago.  You’re probably right about the incompetence of the Bills’ front office at the time but I still don’t think fans should be “blamed” for wanting a player the Bills clearly developed to show some appreciation for what had been done.

Regarding Jason Peters: He was exhibit A of the Bills of that era being the NFL's Farm Team.

  3. I think I am a typical football fan.  I don't wish for injuries but I am also relieved when an opponent isn't available when the Bills play them.  No one around the league cares that you are undermanned.  Every team is undermanned somewhere.  Diggs was great for Buffalo and I celebrated him when he was here.  He turned sour and forced his way out.  He did what most WRs do...  I will remember the good times and wish him well except when it matters to the Bills.

  4. Whether he lost a step or not doesn't matter.  With his sure hands and Patty's ability to extend plays, he will get open.  This is a good move for him and the Chiefs.  It was so obvious watching the game that he was being traded.  They were making sure he did not get hurt.  You could see it in his sideline posture.  They must have told him on the sidelines that he was done as a Titan.

  5. My frustration with the NFL is you can never be sure where to find the game.  The NFL.com site is TOTAL CRAP now.  You could not make a more useless site if you tried.  Not a fan of overseas games, not a fan of TNF.  And don't get me started on the NFL+.  Greed..

If the Bills win, I'm all in for the week.  If they lose, I eschew the talk shows, youtube and other games.

The announcers are the same as they always have been.  Some good, some bad.

And the uneven enforcement and interpretation of the roughing the passer penalties is maddening.  I really think they need to throw in a 15 yard unsportsmanlike penalty with loss of down for QB flops...  That sh!t has got to stop.

He's playing next week.  What are you even talking about.

    The playbook is "get open."

Of course.  But knowing the playbook in a new offensive system takes time.  The terminology and philsophy will all be different.    Josh being comfortable knowing he knows the audibles, etc.  That takes time.   And the Bills figuring out how to plug him in, who loses snaps, who shifts position, etc.  All this doesn't happen because he just suits up.

I'm thrilled.  I just wonder how long it will take for him to be fully matriculated into the offense and play calling.
