  1. 1. Go yourself. 2. How could they set the conditions you've mentioned which specify the years of service. Is KC going to wait 3 years to get their draft picks?
  2. I was hoping that's what this thread would be about.
  3. He'll probably be in prison for most of it anyway. I'd say that his debt is the least of his worries.
  4. Did you read his post? That's exactly what he was saying.
  5. Actually, they pretty much already use the same language on getting a refund when you buy DirecTV equipment / service. The practical way to determine if you can't get service is to try and buy it. Someone comes to your house to hook it up, and if they're unable to get signal, you'll get some paperwork which says so. I'm pretty sure they're not going to be selling Sunday Ticket to anyone unless you've tried, and been unable to get normal DirecTV service.
  6. If the lions decided they want a guy they could get in the 10-20 range (and if that's all they're willing to pay); they'd be much better served to trade down, and get something of value. In general, guys get paid based on where they're picked, not where they would have been picked.
  7. they haven't been visiting anymore teams, does that mean they're not going to sign at all? they'll eventually sign with one of the teams they visited, but it may not happen until after the draft.
  8. I'm not saying he was or wasn't in Buffalo, but I think you stating it as a fact like that is BS. I read the link in your other thread; what it says is that his secretary said he wasn't in Buffalo. Since neither Scheffler nor Cutler have permission to seek a trade on their own, this makes sense. If he or his secretary confirmed his presence in Buffalao, it could get him (and the Bills) in hot water.
  9. No but being the QB of the 2nd best offense in the league is pretty good as well.
  10. I went back in 2002 (picking Mike Williams #4 felt so good), back when it was in the MSG theatre, and can provide some pointers, although some things may have changed. * I am under the impression that tickets are first come first serve unless you have received tickets from attending the year before. Correct * Can anyone tell me what time I should show up in line? My flight gets in Friday night around 7ish. Was anyone there last year that can tell me what time ppl started to show up in line? I would show up as eary as possible Saturday morning. I showed up at about 7:00 Saturday morning, and was towards the end of the folks that they let in. There were definitely lots of people who had come right from the bars when they closed at 4. Not sure if it will be different now that they don't begin until 12. * Will they come out at any point at night and hand out tickets so that you dont wait outside all night? * What time do they pass out tickets? We got tickets at about 11:00 if I remember correctly, but back then the draft began at noon. * I know the draft starts at 3pm, so will you be able to leave and come back before it starts after you receive your tickets? Don't know, sorry. * How is the seating arrangement once you enter? Do you just pick you seats? are there designated areas for certain teams fans? Back then, you could sit wherever you wanted. * How long will the first day last? I'm not sure if anyone really knows the answer to this, since the schedule and timing have changed. * If I decide to go to the 2nd day of the draft what time does that start? What time do they offer the tickets for the next years draft so you dont have to wait in line? Don't know what time the second day starts, but the tickets for next years draft aren't available until the very end of the second day (they offer them as an incentive to the faithful who stick around all day long.) I've been thinking about attending again this year, but honestly it is a little like watching paint dry, unless it's drastically changed (and that year we picked 4th, so only had to wait an hour for the first pick, and about 6 hours til the second pick.) It's actually a little more exciting watching it on TV, where at least you get the benefit of the commentary from Berman, Kiper and crew. Good luck.
  11. I love the penetration this guy gets, but did anyone else notice how may tackles he missed? Which means he would fit in perfectly in Buffalo. Classic Bills Tackling.
  12. Not saying this is the case with all of his kids, but in the article, he speaks about how many of the mothers told him they were on the pill. In any case where this is true, I wouldn't be nearly as worried about what's fair to the Mothers, although you're right that it sucks for his children. That being said, he still has to man up for his own actions. And it's a little absurd that he kept believing these women; enough to father 9, or 11, or 101 kids.
  13. The reason we didn't rework it last year or the year before, is because we reworked it the year before that. He came begging for a raise on his initial contract in the first year he started playing tackle. If he could have lived on only 400,000 a year that extra year, he could have waited to ask for that raise until he started playing left tackle, which would have greatly improved his bargaining position. On the other hand, it makes the Bills look a little soft if we start renegotiating contracts with the same player every other year.
  14. We should offer him 10 - 11$ million a season or so, but with one catch - no giant signing bonus. That way, the money's not guaranteed, and if he doesn't earn it, we cut him.
  15. This would seem to contradict that. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3967496
  16. The only way he restructures is if he thinks he may get cut, and make much less somewhere else. As long as he's favored by the coaching staff, he probably isn't worried about that happening. Of course, that could change if we draft a stud DE in the first round, and if Schobel comes back at full strength. It also wouldn't hurt if either of the guys we picked up last year end up making a good impression in camp.
  17. Thanks Senator, but unfortunately I'd still have to rely on the Buffalo News to relay that information. Hmmm.
  18. That doesn't make any sense. If his yearly salary over the next 4 years is small, but made up for by a large signing bonus received this year, that is exactly the situation in which you would take a cap hit if he is cut next year.
