  1. Yeah, nothing about how Donahoe wouldn't have been fired if he hadn't been a lousy piece of . Donahoe's Greatest Hits: http://community.foxsports.com/blogs/patmo...Top_Ten_Gaffes2
  2. I don't necessarily have a problem bringing him back, as long as we keep in mind that 1. he'll be 37 years old next year. 2. he hasn't had two consecutive trouble free years since early San Fran. and don't overpay him accordingly.
  3. It depends on how the deal is laid out. If it's 6 mil $ a year with a 1 $ mil signing bonus, its essentially three one year deals, since we can cut him at any time without any real penalty. If it's a 6 Mil$ signing bonus, 6 Mil$ the first year, and 3 Mil$ each of the next two years, that would suck.
  4. I'm just wondering whether I can still trust the Buffalo News.

  6. So what happened to his house? No 97 rock listeners?
  7. I think that it's pretty irrelevant whether Garcia actually was gay. TO called out his teammate (and his QB.) That is a move, any way you slice it. The fact that Garcia then married a playmate just makes TO look like a bigger . But I still hope he makes the pro bowl this year.
  8. This is a terrible, terrible idea. The reason TO is a small risk right now is because there is no one behind Edwards who is a legitimate threat. Add a Garcia (not likely for the reasons mentioned above), a Leftwich, or any other QB who thinks they could be starting, and you're asking for locker room problems. And our "investment" in TO is $ 1 million more than we're paying Chris Kelsay (if you included the pro-rated portion of his signing bonus) to stand around and look sluggish this year.
  9. I pretty much agree, except that for me, the perfect ending has one of the guys we currently have on the roster (Hardy or Johnson) emerging as a legitimate threat opposite Evans. Not saying it's probable, but it would be ideal, rather than spending tons of money on a FA.
  10. The how do you explain us filling all those seats for the past ten years?
  11. Treatment of a Krabbe's patient can cost upwards of a million $ per year. I don't think any insurance is covering that. Throw in the personal aides he had hired for his son, and I'm sure he spent a pretty penny caring for Hunter.
  12. I don't know, I heard that he only needed 100,000 more dollars to be able to be able to buy the team, which he was able to get by selling his O.P. house. Anybody know who the buyer ended up being if 97 rock (and Kelly) are saying its not Marshawn? TE? TO? Some non-football playing waste of space?
  13. I once was assigned to Jury Duty with a guy who looked exactly like Seth Myers. Looking back on it, I'm not sure how I'd rather spend my time, watching SNL, or Jury Duty.
  14. I'm not saying I disagree with the signing, as I don't think we have much to lose. But I can see why some people might find fault with it. How many teams have let TO go in the past ten years, regardless of his talent level? There are reasons why Dallas cut him, and if you asked Steve Mariucchi, Andy Reid, Bill Parcells, or Wade Phillips, you would probably get a few explanations of why it could be seen as a bad move. But if you have to ask, I would venture to say that you don't follow much football. Again, I'm not saying that I disagree with the signing, just that you should stop asking stupid questions.
  15. If he gets franchised, you have to pay him as a franchise player. (Or whomever trades for him does.) Which works out to be the average of the top 5 players at his position. For WR next year, that'll most likely be 9 Million Dollars. Not going to happen for a man of his years (and history), even if he has a great year.
  16. Even if he has a great year, I really don't think anybody's going to give us much for a soon to be 37 year old WR making top 5 money. More likely that he gets traded during the season, but that would largely depend on someone else being more desperate than us.
  17. Bledsoe had arguably one of the best years ever (at least numbers wise) for a Bills QB. The main difference between the Bledsoe trade and this signing, is that we're not tied down to a multi-year contract, so if it doesn't work out, it's not a big deal. I don't think anyone on this board was holding their breath for a playoff appearance before this happened anyway. Signing TO for one year at a reasonable price is a great move, although to be honest, I can't stand the guy.
  18. It's not that they gave up hope. Hypothermia causes people to do crazy things, which they would never do in their right mind. Lost hikers in winter weather are often found completely naked; one of the stages of hypothermia is to feel extremely hot, leading to the removal of whatever clothing the victim might be wearing. It's unfortunate, but it shouldn't be taken as an indication of the character of these men.
  19. This would be awesome... but its not allowed by the NFL. The Packers have this kind of ownership, but only because they were grandfathered in. "...league rules, which stipulate a limit of 32 owners of one team and one of those owners having a minimum 30% stake." http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Green_Bay_Pac...#Public_company Not from the most trustworthy source, but I've read this before in other places. Maybe we should start some kind of campaign / petition to allow Western New York to buy it's own team?
  20. you said it man. that's the most ridiculous thing i have ever heard. ever.
  21. Mike Williams was more than dominant at Texas. The idea that Texas players vs. Alabama players are somehow less ready for the NFL is kind of ridiculous. Here's some backup. Here is the list of Alabama players in the NFL Mark Anderson Chicago Bears Wesley Britt New England Patriots Fernando Bryant Pittsburgh Steelers Anthony Bryant New York Giants Matt Caddell St. Louis Rams Simeon Castille Cincinnati Bengals Tim Castille Arizona Cardinals Jeremy Clark New York Giants Brodie Croyle Kansas City Chiefs Kenneth Darby St. Louis Rams Wallace Gilberry Kansas City Chiefs Cornelius Griffin Washington Redskins Roman Harper New Orleans Saints Jarret Johnson Baltimore Ravens Anthony Madison Pittsburgh Steelers Evan Mathis Cincinnati Bengals Le'Ron McClain Baltimore Ravens Kindal Moorehead Atlanta Falcons Antwan Odom Cincinnati Bengals Charlie Peprah Green Bay Packers Ramzee Robinson Detroit Lions DeMeco Ryans Houston Texans Chris Samuels Washington Redskins Justin Smiley Miami Dolphins Kenny Smith New England Patriots Deshea Townsend Pittsburgh Steelers and Texas: Cedric Benson Cincinnati Bengals Justin Blalock Atlanta Falcons Tarell Brown San Francisco 49ers Jamaal Charles Kansas City Chiefs Tim Crowder Denver Broncos Leonard Davis Dallas Cowboys Phil Dawson Cleveland Browns Derrick Dockery Buffalo Bills Jermichael Finley Green Bay Packers Brandon Foster Indianapolis Colts Cedric Griffin Minnesota Vikings Michael Griffin Tennessee Titans Ahmard Hall Tennessee Titans Casey Hampton Pittsburgh Steelers Tony Hills Pittsburgh Steelers Michael Huff Oakland Raiders Quentin Jammer San Diego Chargers Derrick Johnson Kansas City Chiefs Nate Jones St. Louis Rams D.D.
