After the collective bargaining agreement runs it's course, it might be..........take a scab to school. Or will it be......pick a scab............. to take to school. -

Yes, and they were also competing against other guys who nothing about conditioning, and smoke and drank a lot, and probably didn't have much stamina either. It is all relevant.

Yeah, and ours hikes it up his own ass. We need to give him credit for that.

Makes sense to me, everybody likes to screw the Bills!

Report: Lynch suspended three games
Cookiemonster replied to TimGraham's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I made a post a few weeks ago regarding the fact that I thought we would probably open on the road against an NFC team this year, and that I did not like playing divisional opponents to open the season, or on prime time, or back to back to back, for that matter. Somebody shot back, jokingly, that we will be opening the season on the road in New England on Monday night, this was before they announced that we would be doing exactly that. I shot back quickly with "that's not funny, as that is exactly what they will probably do to us, as the leauge hates us". It was less than a week after when they announced the MNF opener, and I about sh-- my pants. My point is, it is getting almost predictable as to the annual screw jobs that we get in the form of scheduling, you are never quite sure how it will come, but you know it's coming. The problem with prime time divisional games, is that they are so significant to begin with, as it basically represents a a possible two game swing in the standings, you throw in the MN/SN atmosphere, and home crowd advantage, and the playing field isn't quite level, add in it being their opener, then ML missing, which, btw, you can't really blame on the leauge, and you have a recipe for disaster. That being said, I think we will beat them. The leauge did get away from prime divisional games for a while, but they seem to be migrating back to them, I would prefer interconference prime times myself, ala Dallas/Buffalo. -

How about Wang is really in a tight jam here. or They were trying to squeeze Wang in. or Wang needs to get on base so he can score. or They have Wang caught in a rundown here. or Wang has good stuff. or I would like to push Wang over to second. or He caught Wang last game. or He hit a Wang-off home run. or He hit a home run off of Wang. or His bat glanced off of Wang. (ouch!) or None can touch Wang today. OK, I will stop. -
Figure we should have a positive story

Friggin classic! -
Seems like they should release the results now, if it's right before draft day, man that really puts teams in a bind, I guess they will just have to do a lot of scenario planning, why is it that they just can't come out with it now?

A report recently stated that Raji's agents are disputing the SI oarticle on the failed test. They are adamantly denying that he failed it, and the NFL apparently has not been in-formed of a failed test. His agents are livid over this. But let's keep it quiet and grab the SOB.

Ah, Adam, Ah this is a discussion board, not the National Fact Archive Vault, um, you will see a lot of speculating here, this is what we do.

Todd Marinovich hits rock bottom
Cookiemonster replied to mead107's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hear you man, but I tend to agree with him, a lot of people have grown up while their parents divorced, including yours truly, and I hear that as an excuse all the time. Thier parents, in alot of cases were not there for them, and they had to learn things the hard way, and so on and so forth. I was effected by it though, and there was a time in my life were I felt that I had absolutley no purpose, but if anything, and like a lot of problems, I gained strength from my situation, and am now flourishing. Marinovich was just the opposite, and I am not proposing that you take this route to the NFL, as I do think that the smothering probably inhibited his growth as a person. There comes a time in one's life, where a light goes on, and you start to mature, and realize, that you can use all of your setbacks and misfortunes to motivate yourself, God gave us the innate ability to know right from wrong, some people just never are able to choose the right path. My son has ADD, and has struggled with it for some time now, and although I recognize his shortcoming, I refuse to allow him to use this as an excuse. I point out that a undefeated high school wrestler has no legs or arms, now that is a disability, not ADD. It's like saying, well he was beat as a kid, so therfore we can understand his bully behavior, get real, I know what the statistics will say, but I don't care, we have the knowledge today to break the cycle, raise our expectations for ourselves, and stop using excuses. Did his father go overboard? I don't think that anybody could deny that, but a far worse transgression, are the millions of fathers out there that do not acknowledge their own flesh and blood, let alone spend any quality time with them what so ever. -
How much does the cold weather

While we are on the subject, why do they play in a dome? Seriously. -
How much does the cold weather
Cookiemonster replied to grammer_police's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I gotta agree here, I mean you are only out in it for a few hours, they have heated everything on the sidelines, you are running around increasing your body temperatures, after a while, I belive that unless it is a steady down- pour, a blizzard, or very windy, the players, if they are focused on the task at hand, should be oblivious to the weather. Weather, or to be specific, inclement weather in it's relation to football, is way overrated, especially in Buffalo. It is snowy and cold in Pgh.,Cincy, Cleveland, Baltimore, Minnesota, GB, Detroit, on and on and on, players are just too pampered today. I do realize though, that it is a little more impacted on the QB, than other positions, but Trent will adjust to it eventually. If a player limits his opportunities to just warm weather cities, they are being stupid, and Iam not saying that that would never be a consideration for some, but I think that it is less of a consideration then some people believe. OK, I forgot that Detroit amd Minny have domes, what wusses. -
Can we have Stallworth's Bentley too!
