There was a bright moment yesterday after all
Cookiemonster replied to aussiew's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Ya know, that's the sad , really sad part about all of this, we actually are reflecting back to days with Phillips, Williams, and Mularkey, and saying to ourselves. "man, those guy's were pretty good coaches". Yikes! -

I wish my Kids weren't Bills Fans
Cookiemonster replied to BMWR100RT's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I feel your pain dude, my Kids, 2 out of three, anyway are, and they have never lived in Buffalo. My oldest went through the pain of the SB years, so he is more calloused. I didn't think that my youngest was in to them real big, but he constantly ask's what the Bills's score is, and is genuinley dissapointed when it is not favorable. I don't know what it is, but I think a lot of it is just them picking up my passion, so I am going to have to do a better job of containing that, and the Bills are helping me greatly with that this year. I do not want them to suffer like I have, fortunatley they have a lot of other interests. I told my wife yesterday, that today will be the day that will dictate to me what I do with my Sunday's for the foreseeable future. They will include very little football. Hell I only watched maybe 10 minutes of last night's Steeler game, it's a start. -
It is nice to hear that you have it under control.

Spot on, couldn't have said it any better, I don't like the content of this post, but then again, I like getting a flu shot only slightly more than I like getting the flu. We need to go through some pain now, so we can get better quicker. Same for our QB too, we just do not have the luxury to sit around hoping that Trent gets better, thinking, well maybe it's the coach, maybe it's the line, maybe Trent is just young and learning. Too may maybe's for my liking.

Yeah, I did, I forgot about that Don BBesque play, and that was very nice. But, although, I am not claiming outright that he has mailed it in, I stand by my claim that he is not motivated. and it is effecting him, that and schemes, the play were we just turn and fire to him, wr screen, isn't very well designed. It doesn't work, so yes we have to get it to him in wide open spaces to effectively utillize him. I do think that Roscoe is NFL cabable.

Fair enough, but you see guys like Percy Harvin, and other darters like him, come in and have instant success, maybe Tolbert's the problem, our other wide outs haven't exactly been lighting it up either, and I have seen other teams get more with less. I don't think that Welker's early stats as a wideout were all that impressive, Pre-Brady and the Pats, so maybe it's just the schemes, more than Roscoe not being "NFL capable". But I just don't get the impression that Roscoe is properly motivated, for whatever reason.

I don't know, but it seems to me that Parrish is not himself, and I don't think that he is nursing and injury or anything, is he laying down some?, pissed about them trying to trade him, lack of opportunities, his lack of production, not being compensated, enough, or is it just lack of motivation? I realize, that it usually isn't wise to do that, so WTH is it then with him? Maybe our ST have slipped as well, accounting for his struggles on KR & PR's. Trent rarely throws his way any more, is he washed up or what? Why can't we use him like NE uses Welker? Use him or lose him.

Meanwhile, you could spot the one on a Buffalo from a few Hundred yards away. -
Deep in Enemy territory....

Yeah, I heard he is running around down there trying to separate decent tax paying citizens from thier money. They need a football only stadium, he probably won't be successful, but they will build it with your money regardless. -
Time for Brian Baldinger to Amputate His Pinky

I knew that I probably shouldn't have looked at this, but I couldn't help myself. Whoa, too close to lunch for my liking. -

Unless you plan on doing analysis for the NFL anytime soon, I think that we will let you keep it. -
Sounds like screens to Freddy, all day long!

Wow! Man that is a serious deformity, I thought my rubber finger disfigured by an electrical accident grossed people out, but this thing makes mine qualify for a finger model for a Large Jewlery Store Catalouge. BTW, I think that the NFL really does have that kind of power, to make him just cut it off. -
Our line may no longer be the biggest, but I think that you could make an argument for them being one of the more mobile units in the NFL, but I have also noticed much more of a pile push this year v. last, and others. I am prettty impressed with this group, and it is only going to get better. Fast Freddy, is always falling forward, and seems to make something out of nothing all of the time, he very rarely loses yardage, combine that with two yard push from the OL, and walet, you get a 4+ yd. per carry avg. Fredy is right up there among rushing leaders, now Marshawn is a differnt story all together, but I gotta believe that with the new line blocking for him, he will experience much of the same benefits that Freddy has.

Trent Edwards - Where do you stand?
Cookiemonster replied to MURTR's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let's see now, last week I hated him, week before, loved him, week before that, loved him, week(s) before that hated him, next week? I hope I love him again. All kidding a side, this is not too far from reality, and it points out the real problem with Trent INCONSITENT. We can only hope that he improves on that, but make no mistake about it, this is his make or break year, no free passes like JP had. Maybe that is a little too harsh on JP, let me just say, that we can't wait around to see if he'll develop, beyond this year, it took us way too long to figure out that JP could not play at this level, let's not make the same mistake again with Trent. -
I can't really offer too much of an argument here, just one comment, wtf is that on your head dude!
-
Looks to me like you proceeded to use it on your head.

Sorry, no linkie, just a gut feel, and inside information from "my sources deep within the organization"

Very good point, I was thinking the exact same thing, no amount of strenght and conditioning is going to prevent a broken bone. But it does seem that we are experiencing more injuries in general.

FIRST OFFENSIVE PLAY OF THE GAME
Cookiemonster replied to sharper802's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
After tremendous field position generated by a great openining kick-off return, whoops, I meant punt ruturn, cause Dickie always defers, I am thinking that we line up for a 40 yard field goal, which Moorman fakes, and throws a beautiful pass to the left side to Ryan Denny for a TD. We catch them off guard, they have never seen that before. The other team is fooled, because they know that Dickie is not going to eschew those three points at the critical point of the game. We may never get that type of field position the rest of the game. -
