  1. I started this thread because I think the Donte "haters" (me being one of them) should give him credit for playing very well the last two games. But you are completely off base when you say he would be a "stud" SS if he was able to play SS full time. First of all, he has played SS the majority of his career here. Secondly, moving around is a function of a SS. Just like blocking is a function of a WR or RB. Are they O Lineman? No, but they have to block! Well thats what safties do in the NFL, they cover TE's, man up on the slot, blitz, play in the box, etc. BTW, if you notice, the majority of starting DB's stay on the field for every play! You make it sound like it's high school and he is playing both ways and special teams. I know you love to make excuses for DW, but give it a rest and be happy that he is finally ballin.
  2. Because it's awesome, now get your head in the game!!!!!!
  3. You might want to learn football too. The Bucs were in double TE's and motioned K2 over to a twin set. The Bills, who were playing Nickel a ton in the 1st qtr until Mckelvin went down, defense changes because of the personel of the Bucs which was the only resason Donte was in that flat. If the Bucs came out in 3 or 4 wide Donte would've been high in C2. So Mr. Football, Donte was not playing Nickel but had to adjust to the Bucs formation. It's a function of the position, ya know? Go back and watch it, I just did.
  4. You might want to watch the game again. I was at the game and he was playing FS the entire game.
  5. Douchily is a great word. I agree, a few plays does not make a player but he was solid in every area today. Again, I am not a big fan and I cannot believe how some talk about this guy as if he walks on water but you have to give credit where credit is due. It's very hard for me to cheer for him because he's had a Pro Bowl Mouth and has been an average player but I hope he keeps playing like he has this season. BTY Donte, Drew Brees is knockin.
  6. I've been hard on the little guy for his lack of playmaking ability, his big mouth and overall average play but today he made some big plays. He stood out today for the first time as the D's best player along with K. Williams. The pick was great, he cleaned up Buggs's hit on 4th down and he made a couple of nice hits over the middle. I thought he played well against the Pats too. Obviously FS is where he should be. Props Lil Donte, you deserve a solid A so far! No more flashes though, we need consistant play out of you!!!!!
  7. He's young but he has a lot to learn when it comes to pass rush technique. He is nothing but a speed rusher at this point and it aint follin anybody. I can't believe he hasnt thrown in an inside move yet. All upfield and once he gets stoned by the OT, he has no counter. I'd like to see the Bills move him around a bit too. Line him up as an LB and walk him up or use him on stunts. I like his intensity though.
  8. I agree with everything 100% I do wish we had some legit standing room though.
  9. I think the Bills are going to faze out the No Huddle as the seson goes on for that very reason. They also have an excuse by saying that was Turk's thing. I think it works in spots but as we lose our depth on D (I know your asking what depth?), I think we are in trouble. I think we should use it depending on the opponent. Especially against teams who run the 3-4 because your catching their big LB's and DL and that will cause problems in coverage underneath. We shall see. I was very nervous about AVP until that game, but now I'm excited to see what else he's got.
  10. Keep in mind mind that we are a no huddle team with a bend-dont-break defense. That is not a recipe for TOP. Something else that was overlooked was the difference that Lynch would've made in that game. Not because he's better than Jackson, but Jackson was gassed and if we pounded him all game long he wouldnt have been effective in the passing game.
  11. I think the better question to ask is why were screens, draws and play action working so well? Put simply, the Bills took what the Pats gave them. Now does that mean that there wasn't a throw or two downfield? Of course there was, but the Pats were playing Lee and TO over the top all game long and that is exactly why our screens, draws and PA worked so well. Those plays don't work when the D is in zone because the 2ndary is watching the play develop. When a D is playing man, the 2ndarys backs are turned, there is usually a blitz coming or the DE's have their ears pinned back which is perfect conditions for those 3 types of plays. SO instead of being discouraged, you should be glad that we have an OC who understands context. AVP did it without niche plays and used high percentage plays. He kept it simple and the entire game we had the Pats on their toes. The Bills dropped 3 3rd down passes and we did all of that without Lynch. If anything, I was blown away at the gameplan and the understanding that AVP showed during that game. Mark my words, there will be games when we will be throwing down the field all game long. Patience my friend!
  12. Cowtard is the worst with his yuckity-yuck shtick. I can't believe that he has one person listening to his show.
  13. Watching this guy at Texas I cannot believe he hasn't made more of an impact in the NFL. I'd take a shot for a low pick and/or Parrish.
  14. Not when you tease it with the GB game! BTW, you're thanking our coach for a loss. Low standards huh.......
  15. We didn't stunt our D line at all! Kyle Williams was an absoulte animal today though!
  16. It wasn't man. That was straight cover 2 and Ellison didn't get enough depth on his drop. Brady split it perfectly.
  17. He walked off of the field with an 11 point lead after throwing his 2nd TD in the 4th. How many times did Gruden and Jaws talk about how the Pats were bracketing the WR's, they even showed it. You have an annoying agenda and you are just concerned with being on the right side of the Trent argument.
  18. Is this what we as Bills fans have become, we're happy about a loss? Thats a losers mentality my man.
  19. Mike Leach starred in Total Recall, see if you can spot him.
  20. He looks like Frankenstein when he's in coverage. He's not instinctive. He is completely out of place in this defense, he would be much better in a 3-4 as a 2 down MLB.
  21. Looking very dumb now! What a great player. When I watch a guy like that, it blows my mind that people say that Lil Donte is one of the best in the league.
  22. I get the feeling that you're not being serious. If you are, it's ridiculous to say that you're a bigger fan than someone else regardless of the reason.
  23. And now, deep thoughts by Dick Jauron Peters is to start No, Walker is now starting Oops, Bell will now start
  24. Yeah, bad miss! I missed Marc Carrieir too. Anyway, my point was about USC's players and their bust rate under Carroll. I still think Mays is more about measurables than he is about his play on the field.
