The Peters hate is a direct result of the negative attacks on Peters published at Brandon's direction from OBD. The fans have bought Brandon's spin hook, line and sinker and have crucified Peters since. Since the team is devoid of talent, it may make sense to hold the front office accountable for the lack of playmakers on this team - and it refusal to pay market rates to its only ProBowler

Peppers is scheduled to become a free agent, but he has not hit the market yet. Carolina can sign him or tag him before then. My guess is does not become available. deal with reality give me the list of Pro Bowl LTs that have moved in free agency. Hutchinson is one guy that moved, but he's a G. -
because Marv did such a good job as GM without any experience

3 years with the Bills and done...

For the last 3 years, Jauron has had a big say in player moves, who stay, who goes and who was drafted and signed. He picked the schemes and then got the players to play that scheme. He can't hide behind the argument that he did not have enough talent. -
Brandon's background is BASEBALL marketing. The Bills hired him from the Florida Marlins in 2000 where he became an expert at shilling the cheapest organization in the league

if Dick is still around, look for a CB with a premium pick-

Getting rid of Dick will not improve anything unless you clear out the clowns in the front office as well. keep Brandon but limit his role to marketing. they need a football guy at the top -
Ferentz has 3 big plusses in his favor 1. he has NFL coachiing experience under Bellichek in Cleveland 2. he was the offensive line coach which helps in 2 ways a. he will have the juice and the understanding to make the OL a priority on draft day b. he won't tolerate teh dysfunction regarding zone blocking, drive blocking, blitz calls, etc 3. he has proven capable of running the entire program at a major college - the major unknown of most NFL coordinators

sort of like Marv at least he made it to the big game- but he totally butchered the collection of talent he had- especially on defense where premier pass rushers were used more as decoys. Walt Corey was a complete joke. If Kelly and Marchibroda had not threatened a mutiny, the offense would have been running the single wing Marv brought with him from KC
-
If JP is not going to even attempt to throw more than 10 yards downfield, why even have him on the field. just snap it to Fred and run the single wing you would totally eliminate the risk of JP doing anything really dumb

Walker can't pass block the slower pass rushers on the right side because he is too fat and slow. Counting on him to play LT against elite pass rushers will require a TE to be permanently a fixed to his hip.

If Gross was as good as you say, he would not be available as a free agent -
we already have POZ to fill the slow white guy, can't tackle role

Anyone else sick of "character" players?
spartacus replied to sac bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
the cover 2 was designed to allow teams to compete defensively on the cheap with players that were not good enough or big enough to play in a real defense. CBs with no man cover skills and LBs that weigh 225 lbs. without premium talent, you won;t have a good defense but you can compete by maintaining discipline -

they are mentally and physically weak That's what you get when you run a country club -
Since when do we have this "weak interior line"
spartacus replied to ans4e64's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Preston sucks The Bills have no capable backups at OT on the team they were damn lucky not to have a serious injury at one of the tackles they should draft an OL in the top 4 rounds every year -
The main reason Dick Jauron will be fired...
spartacus replied to 1billsfan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Any heartburn Ralph may have from getting thrashed by the Fins will be grossly overshadowed by Ralph's inability to buy out coaches contracts. The bills will be stuck with Jauron and the inept front office until new ownership takes over. Ralph has no fear of losing ticket sales since fans in Buffalo will not give up their priority seats due to 20 or 30 years of paying their dues. -
Just for HA HA's Lets go Back to the 2006 Draft

should have drafted Ngata -
we don;t push it even when down by 4 with 30 seconds to play. wew continue to throw 4 yard passes

Bad play call, but Jauron is a stand up guy
spartacus replied to jahnyc's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
no doubt it was Turk too cute for his own good consistent with calls by the same guy to take out Lynch everytime we got inside the 10 yard line Dick knows he has 3 year contract and even if RAlph fires him, he laughs all the way to the bank. That's why players and coaches love him - he demands no accountability -
BTW, is anyone still down on McKelvin?
spartacus replied to The Dean's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
good to hear the Bills are thinking about upgrading at C. they only ignored the position for 15 years since Kent Hull retired, so I can understand their urgency in addressing this critical roster spot in this upcoming off season -
The players love playing for Dick Jauron
spartacus replied to VOR's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Dick does not demand accountability so he does not get in their face to upset them Players have no fear -

you are clearly mistaken. it is always better to draft a cover corner (or 3) and then have them play 10 yards off in a soft zone so they never use the skills that forced you to use a top 12 pick. The Bills failure to draft more than 4 linemen in the last 10 years at the top of the draft is how all good teams build themselves into a contender.
