Does T.O. Really Drop That Many Balls?
QB Bills replied to rolly's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not to be a T.O. apologist, but if you look at which receivers have the most drops, they're usually some of the top guys at that position. It's just simple math. The more you get thrown to, the higher your drops will be. I don't think anyone would argue that Braylon Edwards is a really good receiver, but he had a lot of drops last year if I remember correctly. -

Even in Madden form, Chris Kelsay Sucks

hahahaha that's the best one so far -
Get off your high horse. I suppose you think you are a better coach than Belichick too just because you told little mikey to stay away from drugs. This is professional football we are talking about here, not high school sports. The objective is to win, not to make a difference in their lives. If you are developing players, it's not so they will buy you a beer and tell their grandchildren about you, but rather to win. Anything else is secondary. Why do you think some players take less money to play for a winner. In every sport, not just football. Can you see someone doing that to come to the Bills to play special teams? I mean, we've got the most innovative special teams coach in the NFL, don't we? I still can't figure out whether you think Tom Brady is a great QB or not. Throwing to the tight ends for 4 yards and kicking field goals?? Are you on crack? Are you sure there's not some parallel bizarro league you've been watching for the last decade? I'm not disputing Bill Walsh or Joe Montana's credentials at all. But the reason they are looked upon so highly is because they won super bowls and were consistently good. Same as Belichick. The idea is to win, and that's how everyone measures a coach's pedigree. Everyone but you, apparantly.

This has got to be the quote of the day on here: It's a good plan, but it's not really coaching, it's system management. Guy, are you for real??? Can you explain the difference? You are all over the place here and your arguments against Belichick are actually making the case for him being great even stronger. 1. You're saying that Brady was a fluke, which may be the case, but they did have 11 wins last year with a makeshift QB who hadn't started a game since high school. I agree that Brady is overrated but that's because he's a product of Belichick's system...which reinforces how good Belichick is. 2. You're saying he can't coach great players. But he's won three super bowls. So a coach has won 3 super bowls with no great players...doesn't that say something? Personally, I think they had a few great players, but they definitely weren't the most talented team in the league when they won, and I'd argue that they still aren't. BB is the main reason they are always good. 3. You say Belichick looks for his D to win games. What's wrong with that? On a team with no great players, his D is coached pretty well if they can win games, don't you think? 4. And I don't get my football knowledge from Madden, I get it from Tecmo Super Bowl, as my name states. Madden is Dick Jauron, Tecmo is Belichick. So, just to be clear, Brady is a whiner and not a great QB. The pats don't have great players. They are only good because of the system. Add that all up and you come up with: Belichick is not that good of a coach? It seems like you have this hatred of the pats that is spawned by envy. I know I do. But at least I can give credit where credit's due. BB is a prick, but he's far and away the best coach out there. In fact, if I could pick one person, player or otherwise, to join the Bills, it would be Belichick. In any case, whenever I get overly jealous of their success, I just look at this picture of Wilfork and his wife: http://cache.boston.com/bonzai-fba/Third_P...614880_4371.jpg

You're out to lunch. 1. How does that help your argument? Doesn't that just reinforce how good Belichick is? 2. Player by player, the Rams/Panthers/Eagles were all better than the Pats also. But oh wait, they cheated, right? 3. LOL...apparantly you have been hibernating the last 10 years. Free agency is the main reason the Bills suck. In case you haven't noticed, there has been a lot more outflow than inflow in regards to FAs 4. I really don't get where your argument is going...so now Brady isn't that good either? And neither is Belichick? As for quitting, I suppose if the Bills score first against them in the opener, we'll be 1-0 going into week 2. 5. Marino was a selfish prick who was more concerned with breaking records than winning a championship. Lois Einhorn should have done him in when he/she had the chance. 6. Whatever Belichick is miles ahead of the pack in regards to preperation and coaching. I would pay the guy 15 million bucks a year to coach the Bills. And by saying "I", I really mean I would like it if Ralph did. He would have more of an effect on the prospects for the team than any player would. Bottom line is, he really is that good. His record speaks for itself.

I understand that this guy is a Bills fan just like the rest of us but can the mods limit the number of stupid threads he starts?? Skooby, I'm sure you're a nice guy, but you need to stop hijacking the board.

Our first round picks, in action and in uniform
QB Bills replied to JÂy RÛßeÒ's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yup. Every year the game is pretty much exactly the same with a minor tweak here or there. I guess it is difficult to revamp a winning formula every year, but something new would be nice. Doesn't matter though, tecmo super bowl is still the greatest! -
It's pointless arguing with the anti-Peters group. The bottom line is, I don't think you can say you know more about football than Andy Reid or the Philly coaching staff, can you? Or combat the fact that Jason Taylor said he was the toughest O-lineman he has ever faced (no, I don't have a link, so you can choose not to believe me if you wish). You don't get better by trading away your best players. Was how he went about renegotiating right? Of course not. Nobody will argue that. But as fans, our concern should always be whether any move made or not made makes the Bills better. And if you don't feel that this trade makes the Bills much weaker, then you really don't know much about football, sorry to say. There's a reason he got all that money he was asking for, and that's because he's a damn good player and the rest of the world knows that except for a few hyper-sensitive posters on this board. No, he shouldn't have given the Bills a discount for taking a chance on him and no, he wasn't a team cancer. He never requested a trade. He was an idiot for sitting out, but he is the kind of player you keep around. The Bills aren't as poor as some may think...they could have easily afforded his contract demands. And none of this precedent-setting crap either. If this was Donte Whitner pulling this stunt, then ya, him you get rid of asap. But Peters was their most valuable commodity. This was, by far, the dumbest move this team has made in a long time.

Actually no, that's an unofficial stat. But you did spell his name correctly.

Behold, a typical Peters hater. Get your facts straight buddy. He only missed the Seattle game (and then the last two).

Sammy Morris? The only guy to ever knock someone out cold with a helmet to the shoulder? That guy is a beast.

Rumor about T.O.'s contract and it's stipulations
QB Bills replied to yall's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Why you gotta be a Jauron? The guy already provided the disclaimer. In any case, I can see the scenario...4th and goal at the 2, bills down by 4 with 2 seconds left against indy, needing to win to get to the playoffs...fade to T.O. (who has been stuck at 89 catches all game), his man slips, and just as the ball is about to fall into his waiting hands, he slaps it away. Then he steals someone popcorn, spits in it, and gives it back to them. -
You ever see that episode of the Simpsons where they go into a pensive Homer's head to see what deep thoughts he is having only to find a circus monkey clapping two cymbals together? Thinking of a camera crew in the Bills' room made me think of that.

Sources: Peters to Eagles for three picks
QB Bills replied to TimGraham's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Couldn't agree more. I can't fathom how people are ok with this. The guy had two more years left on his deal. What was the point of doing this????? This team is a complete disaster. This is such a horrible, horrible move on so many levels. -

This organization is a complete joke. What a kick in the balls. -
In the words of the liquor store janitor in Superbad....."!@#$ my life"

Someone was mentioning he reads this board sometimes, and on behalf of the fans who want to keep Peters (ie, the ones who think you keep your best players), don't do this...I'm begging you!!!

Off-topic, but did anyone see the link to the Rex Ryan interview to the right of that story? "We don't expect to just win, we expect to win big". I know DJ takes a lot of flak for his dry personality, but I really hope this fat ba$tard chokes on the drumstick he keeps in his back pocket. He hasn't even coached a game yet and talks so much sh--. -
Unsubstantiated second-hand Peters news
QB Bills replied to PromoTheRobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Guy, you are completely wrong here. That was a perfectly timed blitz that no tackle could have stopped, nor should have had to stop for that matter. It was a DB that went around him, not a d-lineman and considering it was a roll-out, the whole offensive line was shifting to the right. Peters would have had to come back to his left and leave a gaping whole between him and Dockery. That sack was all on dipsh-- Losman, who held the ball forever, then to compound matters, tried to underhand the ball with both hands after being wrapped up. If you want to blame Peters for a sack/fumble combo, the one in Jacksonville holds more water. -
If by bringing what he's capable of means a complimentary ticket in the nosebleeds, then yes, T.O. can get Josh Reed to the pro bowl. If you mean what I think you mean, however, then you should stop what you're doing and go see a doctor right away.
