I think they would consider a trade if McNabb would commit to a contract extension. However, the reality of the situation is that I see no way he would even consider coming to Buffalo and play for such a dysfunctional organization. And I'm also amused why Philly would even consider trading him. He's a proven winner. Why on earth would you trade your franchise QB when you don't know if the guys who would replace him in Kolb and Vick can even play? I'm mean, that type of move sounds like something the Bills would do. See Jason Peters.
Joey Porter is a punk. And at this point in his career Keith Ellison is a better all-around player than Porter which should tell you all you need to know.
Sure. Because turning on your tv and watching a syndicated tv program that summarizes all the days transactions and analysis of activity in the NFL is infinitely less informative than going to an empty stadium and watching guys in shorts running around cones.
I'll never forget how Marshall Faulk said the Bills needed a new LT after Jason Peters was elected to his 1st pro-bowl a couple of years ago. On second thought, maybe he was predicting the future!
Or that how in the hell did we get to the point of paying a guy several million dollars a year to basically outrun or knock over the guy in front of him.
Hope springs eternal. I do not share your optimism however. Chan Gailey, while a good offensive mind, is not head coaching material. The guy couldn't succeed in college at GT! And outside of DeHaven I am unimpressed by his collegiate staff. I hope I'm wrong but I predict things are going to get pretty ugly around here over the next few years. And you thought Jauron was bad? Just wait.
The Bills drafted a guy with a WR's build to be a DE. Brilliant! The only chance he has of even getting on the field is as an OLB in a 3-4 defense and I have no idea if he can play that position. I do know he will never be a DE in the NFL.
...feel bad for Jim Kelly, Andre Reed, Bruce Smith, Thurman Thomas, Steve Tasker, and Kent Hull among others because those guys were a joy to watch over the years and deserved at least one superbowl win. Thanks for the memories guys.
No way would I trade Lynch even for a 1st rounder. We know the guy can play and seems to have put his off-field issues aside. He's a perfect back in Buffalo- big, strong, and never goes down after the first hit. He could be a feature back with a team that had an NFL caliber O-line.
