  1. Sure, New Orleans signed Drew Brees. Look where that got them.
  2. What if Puz wants to play for an organization actually committed to winning and has long term viability at ownership? It's a two way street. The Bills do want him back. The question is does he want to come back? For me, I bet he winds up playing for the Giants. From a player point of view it's a no brainer.
  3. One word to describe James Harrison: punk
  4. Agreed. You can't take your money to the grave. But in economically depressed WNY outside of Pegula just who is there? Please don't say Golisano- we saw how he ran the sabres. Excellent angle I never thought of. That would leave quite a legacy for Mr. Wilson. I hope your right.
  5. +1. And his departute like that of Whitner will create another hole where there was an NFL caliber starter. Man, for every step forward the Bills take 1.5 steps back.
  6. At least DelHomme can toss a touchdown pass for every three pics he throws. Maybin can't even get on the field...for one of the worst defenses in the NFL.
  7. I have the streaming and even upgraded my DSL speed to the top of the line option (additional $5.00 per month from ATT) but I still get pauses and the picture quality is poor. I think I'm paying 7.99 per month for 1 DVD at a time (2 max per month) and unlimited streaming. I have read Netflix wants to eventually phase out the DVD/Blue Rray disc options and only stream in the future. I've been streaming since December 2010 and have noticed a much much bigger choice of movie choices over the past few months. They all say "Starz" when they begin and I wonder if that's some third party the streaming is contracted out to by Netflix. Agree though, the picture quality is poor compared to the discs.
  8. Valid points. By the way, I read an article where the Giants may pursue Puz. Let's see. A superbowl winning and successful franchise near NYC or Buffalo? Add MLB to the Bills long list of needs.
  9. Bucky Brooks is lousy reporter offering very little new insight into the draft and current players. Merriman may be a flop but I think Nix is taking a justifiable risk on a player that just a few years ago (and pre-steroid testing) was a playmaker. Now, re-signing Kelsay to that absurd extension is the type of move that should get a GM fired. Just sayin'
  10. Was there about a year ago for the first time and had a great time with the wife and kids. Was not impressed by the water but did not see the beaches. I live in Florida where we have a world class beach so I am biased. Some of the highlights for me: Stayed at a place call the Andrew Pickney Inn near the slave market- great location and complimentary breakfast. Enjoy walking the streets and seeing the beautiful homes. Took a carriage ride which gives insight to the fascinating history of the city including the American Revolution. There was tremendous wealth there in the 1800's. The place was later basically destitute and abandoned during the Civil War after the north attacked and pillaged the city. There's an interesting old round church with an open graveyard with tombstones that date before the American Revolution! Walked around the waterfront where you'll find a park that has cannons used during the civil war. Ate at a place called Hamoni Grill with a kick ass fried chicken sandwich served on a biscuit with sausage gravy. The wife had the shrimp and grits which was also delicious Also ate at a place called Justine's. This was a tourist trap and food was very over-rated imo. Had better fried chicken at KFC. Also took a side trip to Magnolia Plantations. You can get a sense of how life was on the plantation and how slavery led to tremendous wealth. You can also see how devestating it was to the owner who lost all when the south fell and who had to sell most of the land and convert a fraction of what he originally owned into a garden to survive. Beautiful Gardens there. There's a family tomb where you can see damage to a sculpted angel on the grave from one of General Sherman's men before they burned the original home to the ground. Very interesting yet sad letter on display from the owner named Drayton circa 1862 that basically said the south would never turn back and predicted civil war against the north and Lincoln. Toured the Nathaniel Russel home. Beautiful spiral staircase and get a sense of how this shipping merchant lived. Also got really into the Civil War particularly from the south point of view. Have read several books since then including on Robert Lee. I understand how this man was revered in the south. Led with integrity and valor but never really stood a chance against the more populous, powerful and industrial north. Major regret now was not taking a trip to Fort Sumter. It's supposed to be awfully hot there in the summer fyi. Let me know how the trip went and what you enjoyed.
  11. If I had one I'd just give it to you for free! Why on a mission to get the hand warmer? I've heard of foot fetish but hand fetish? There must be a story here.
  12. Hey look. Trent Edwards' is playing at center!
  13. That chick is smokin' hot. If Roy hit it before she quit it, good for him. First she said she lost the ring, then we learned her father mysteriously had it. Don't trust white models my brother, don't trust 'em.
  14. Well, at least not in their clown suits.
  15. Very safe conclusion. Let's face it. The Bills roster pretty much sucks. They better not screw it up and risk not having first crack at Andrew Luck.
  16. Why so serious?
  17. He's certainly marketing himself. Let's hope he puts as much time in improving his hands as he does getting on tv and radio.
  18. Mularkey too got all kinds of hype for Kordell Stewart and Tommy Maddox prior to coaching the Bills but was utterly clueless as a head coach. For me, I like a coach who actually wins games. Billichek is a complete tool. But if he's coaching your team, who cares.
  19. Pegula- this guy and Ted Black have got their act together. Big time. In the four months since he's owned the team, he's re-carpted the locker room, reached out to Sabre alumni, is expanding the player facilities at HSBC, resigned Stafford, brought in Boyles and Regehr, purchased the Rochester Amercs, and is on record stating big time money will be on the table for free agents. None of this would have happened with Golisano as owner. I'm also convinced Ruff would have left the organization getting frustrated losing quality players to free agency and bringing in 2nd tier, cheaper players. If the Sabres don't win it, no one can possibly fault this guy for not trying. This guy is going for it and now. I see the determination that made this guy a multi-millionaire. He is a godsend to the City of Buffalo. Wilson- has always been about the bottum line, winning was secondary. Selling out to Toronto is a punch in the stomach to Bills nation. Now he's a clueless, senile old man. +1
  20. Bob Matthews...please retire. You are begining to embarass yourself on a regular basis.
  21. Awesome stuff! Thanks so much for sharing Senator.
  22. Watched it and enjoyed. Makes me wish I could have seen Buffalo in it's glory years. I'm suprised nothing was shown from the old Bethleghem Steel Plant in Lackawanna. Anyone know if anything is still standing from that enormous operation?
