  1. That dude had the god-given ability to dominate. To bad he preferred to be a lazy tub of lard.
  2. And all kinds of ignorance in yours. The guy made the pro-bowl based on college reputation and draft position. Any Redskin fan will tell you he was a disappointment. Never had more than 100 tackles in a season. Never lived up to the hype of being the greatest LB ever to come out of Penn State injury or not. Never lived up to being drafted #2 overall. Then threw Dan Snyder, who paid him tens of millions of dollars, under the bus. I'd take Shane Conlan over him any day of the week.
  3. We'll at least Lewis lived up to the hype unlike Maybin's pale Arrington.
  4. The guy lived a few blocks from down from me on West Ferry near Elmwood Ave in the late 70's. Very pleasant man. RIP.
  5. Yes, because John Butler (RIP) clearly told Berman the Bills would select Aaron Maybin. Butler's presence (RIP) would certainly explain the ESPN crew showing Maybin smiling on the phone before the Bills were officially on the clock during San Fran's selection of Michael Crabtree.
  6. I've wondered how Chris Berman always knows who the Bills will select in the 1st round of the NFL draft every year. To my recollection, he first started to use the "a cab driver in Buffalo told me" reference the year we drafted Reuben Brown. Well, with Chris Berman being selected by Ralph Wilson to be his presenter, the identity of the cab driver has been officially revealed. It's none other than Ralph Wilson. And that my friends is a rock solid source.
  7. He's done. We'll get more production out of Ryan Denney which is all you need to know.
  8. Remember the old school Patriots talking about sqeezing silly putty claiming it strengthened their hands to help strip the ball and create turnovers. Go for it Jauron.
  9. The offensive line is going to be a mess. As bad as the run blocking was last year, I suspect it will be worse this year. And the pass protection will be worse, much worse. Let's hope the rookies in Wood and Levitre show same flashes otherwise things will be depressing.
  10. Perhaps, but getting a legit LT and OLB are much higher on the priority list. And the fact that Stroud and Williams are locked up tells me they aren't going to add any big names to DT anytime soon. I'm sorry, but Keith Ellison is invisible on the field.
  11. What up G? He gots his hat on backwards. Ya know what I'm sayin'? It's all good. Peace out.
  12. Great post. I cannot stand that accent of his. He offers no real insight, only stating the obvious. He is the most over-rated broadcaster in all of football.
  13. I agree. He also has good inside info and a real feel for the game that he passes onto the viewer.
  14. Hope springs eternal and talk is cheap. He can blame injuries and the coaching staff all he wants, but the bottum line is he's had no meaningful impact on the field. And I really doubt that's going to change. One point to remember, the guy was projected as a 3rd round pick. Levy and Modrak traded back into the 1st round to draft him. Can't blame McCargo for being a 1st rounder- that wasn't his fault.
  15. Other needs: Pocket awareness Knowing when to throw the ball away before you are sacked, preventing the opponent to score a game winning TD. Avoiding throwing bounce passes top open receivers Avoid locking onto one receiver Learning how to read a defense Other than that, he's in great shape and on his way to being a pro-bowler.
  16. Can VH1 film and send Jauron in a barrel over the falls?
  17. All the more concerning with our OL which has the makings of a complete disaster starting a fat slow clumbsyguy at LT who has stated he's not enthusiastic about it, a scrub from Carolina at center, and two rookies. We might just see Brian Moorman back there with the carnage tha't likely to come.
  18. You forgot Kamil Loud and Brad Lamb.
  19. Run a proper route Read a defense Beat a CB at the line of scrimmage Know the snap count Adjust to the ball Not shy away from contact Use his height to some kind of advantage stop using the rookie excuse card, and yes catch the balls thrown to him Other than the above he's an NFL caliber receiver.
  20. Hardy showed nothing his rookie year. Very disappointing for a guy who basically was handed the #2WR spot in training camp. From what I hear the guy makes Leodis McKelvin look like a Rhodes scholar. Now he blew out his knee. He's toast.
  21. RJ- Could play but no pocket presence. Sacks killed us. Too fragile. Head case no one liked. JP- Horrible accuracy. Only plays he made were downfield heaves Lee Evans ran under. Could never process plays on the field.
  22. RJ or JP? Forget it. Just drop back and punt.
  23. That play by Robinson was so pathetic it was funny. Imagine Pennington's recollection. He'll tell his grandkids about that play. On the flip side, I can see Robinsons grandkids poking fun at him. I still think Brooks can play- he doesn't have to be an all-pro. He just has to be average which would be a significant upgrade over Ellison.
