  1. I thought this also....and it seemed very clear to me. He was still fumbling with the ball to "secure" it. When he finally did secure it, clamped to his leg, at that point, he only got one foot in.
  2. Agree, but who is going to order the Code Red? Col Jessup is long retired, and General Lewis has one foot in the doorway, and the other foot on the coaching carousel ride. LOL
  3. It's nice to know that even though the Bills stopped being a real threat to get into the playoffs at the end of November (when they lost to the Chiefs, and were 5-6, and I predicted that they would be lucky to go 8-8), there are still some folks getting high on recreational drugs.
  4. At work on an early Sunday morning...so thanks for the comments in this thread, they actually made me LOL. Totally agree on Nanace & Simms being horrible. Michaels & Collinsworth are OK, although Al seems like he's auditioning for "The Comic" every week. I would say that Tirico & Gruden are the best out of the latter three. Tirico really only amps it way up when necessary, while some of the other guys go orgasmic over an off tackle 12-yard run. LOL As far as the comment above, after the game last night, ESPN had on a former NFL ref (20+ years experience) and he said that the Shazier hit should definitely have been flagged as a PF, because he lowered his head and led with the crown of the helmet. In the latter case, even if you don't go "helmet-to-helmet", he said it's STILL a penalty. I agree. The player is putting himself at great risk in that situation.
  5. In all honesty, I think the NFL is too busy scheduling the "marquis" teams in the Thursday night/Sunday night/Monday night games to worry about all the rest of the schlubs.
  6. ESPN had on a long time former NFL ref, and he agreed that the Shaziers hit should have been flagged, meaning, of course that the Bungles would have retained the ball. What's most amazing is that the 2 Stooges calling the game never even mentioned the spearing hit, nor did Mike Carey, their former Ref.
  7. Going back to Lewis & the Bungles buffoonery...27 seconds left, 4th & 3 for the Steelers...THE STEELERS HAD JUST CALLED A TO....so coming out of the TO, the Steelers are at the line, and Lewis calls a TO of his own...back-to-back TOs...Marvin Lewis = Idiot. Fire him, tonight!
  8. Yep. That's what I thought too. Why aren't the guys on TV pointing this out?
  9. Agreed. By the time he had semi control....as he pinned it against his leg...he only put one foot down in the endzone
  10. Jack Tatum is spinning in his grave!
  11. I agr......Wait...WHAT!? You HAVE been watching Bills games for the last 5 years, haven't you!?
  12. Will a Punt-fest suffice? Lol
  13. Not that it really matters, but I missed (watching) the 1st Qtr of this game, and I just saw the highlight of the 106-yard KO return, and I ran back my DVR, and I saw 1 block in the back, and 1 block in the back/holding (this was actually perpetrated against the kicker) by the Chiefs. But I'm not really surprised, this buffoonery and inconsistency by NFL officials has been going on for years now, and it makes the NFL more like the WWE every day.
  14. Good post. I agree 100%. They (the NFL) really need to do something about it.
  15. And by "occasionally", do you mean just about every year? LOL
  16. Watt is overrated, and now it looks like he may be hurt. Also, Honestly, they need to revamp the playoff system, because Houston does not belong in there.
  17. Are you freakin' kidding me!? After all of the IDIOT offensive play calls we've sen all year long!? GTFOOH.
  18. It's all fun and games 'til someone gets their a$$ burned up. LOL Also, I wonder how much $$$ the NFL pulls in from selling (overpriced) merchandise every year. It must be A LOT.
  19. To be honest, although most NFL players are great physical specimens, their mental capacity is a whole 'nother ball of wax. IOW, they're not what you would call "smart." LOL
  20. Spot on. Again, also spot on. Would love to see the Bills rip the Jests to shreds.
  21. You know what they say, "Opinions are like a$$holes, everybody has one." LOL I have been living in Jacksonville for about 20 years now.....I actually moved here when they just acquired the franchise. And I'd have to say that your assessment of the situation is grossly exaggerated. I would agree that the fan base is not as rabid as some other franchises, and of course franchises who have winning teams and/or are located in frozen hellholes are going to have more support, because people love a winner, and people in cold climates are somewhat limited to activities in the fall/winter. Lol And your opinion about the stadium is way off base. When is the last time you were there? They have the largest/best scoreboard/video screen IN THE WORLD. They have a pool in one end of the stadium. The experience in and around the stadium is actually pretty awesome, and offers WAY more than say, an antiquated Ralph Wilson stadium. And they have not had a game blacked out in a few years, so the "less than 30,000 people in the seats" crack is way off base. Also, have you ever heard of the annual Florida vs. Georgia game...the "World's Largest Outdoor Cocktail Party?" Yeah, those fans hate coming here, that's why the RV lot starts filling up on Tuesday before the game, and there are tens of thousands of fans who come to Jax for that weekend.
  22. Just saw a lengthy interview with Peyton on ESPN's pre-game show. He was disgusted and vehemently denied the allegations, and until I see more proof other than an Al Jazeera story, I think I'll believe Peyton Manning. Seriously though, Al Jazeera!? Next I guess we'll be quoting up stories in here from the Daily Kos or Media Matters. LOL
  23. This team sucks, plain and simple. And again, they will be lucky to go 8-8.
  24. Listen, I think the refs are absolutely horrid AND biased, and some may even be "on the take", but from what I saw, it was very clear that the tip of the ball hit the ground, and his hand was not under it, and that was not a good INT. Eagles should have kept the ball; the replay showed it clearly.
