Actually, that was the main point of my starting this contest six years ago. The very day the schedule was released in 2003, people started predicting the team's wins and losses for a season that was still almost five months away! As much as I love the team and enjoy a little prognasticating, it seemed to me that predicting wins and losses in April was just a wee bit ridiculous. So that led to the contest. To accentuate the ridiculousness of it, I would add money to the pot every year. Six years later, I don't mind admitting, it'd be very cool if someone won.
