And forget my doctor; it'd be worth it just for my wife's ObGyn. Though admittedly, while we may need to wait a few weeks to see a dermatologist or some other specialist, we sail right through with something even remotely life-threatening. I have a friend who came here from Canada (and actually just became an America a couple of weeks ago. His brother, still in Canada, is in need of a heart bypass, and has been in the Canadian healtchare queue for the past year and is still waiting. My friend, on the other hand, was diagnosed with prostate cancer five weeks ago, and goes in for surgery tomorrow. Right--that plan doesn't work at all for specialists. If need be, my wife, myself and my son (all three of us have different primary care docs) can get in to see them in less than 48 hours, sooner if we don't mind seeing one of our primary's partners.
