Now I am not old enough to remember anything much before DDE but I guess he is now looking to attack the extreme socialism of FDR That extreme socialism was the slippery slope that led to the nanny state we have today. Bush is hovering in the low 20s. I also think that after he leaves office, there will be significant (as yet unknown to the public) evidence and dirty laundry that will show just how damaging his administration was. As well as Nixon, Ford, Reagan, Bush, Clinton, and Bush. None of them "took" my country away from me. It's still my country, no matter the bonehead in the White House. They'll spend us into a bigger mess then this banking scandal. One of their brilliant theories is that we can and will pay for the welfare education and medical costs of anyone and everyone who decides to walk across the border, including every anchor baby they dump on the US taxpayer. Or maybe "modern history" is defined as "anytime in the past eight years." Or maybe you just think Jimmy Carter was a great president.
