Sounds like Dillon is re-thinking where he might be interested in playing next season.From the Boston Herald: Things have changed Corey Dillon [stats] postponed yesterday’s scheduled meeting with the Bills, according to agent Steve Feldman, after Buffalo dealt lead back Willis McGahee to the Ravens. Dillon had also been courted by Baltimore, but in light of yesterday’s events, that is also on hold. Feldman did not rule out visiting Buffalo next week. “It may be (rescheduled),” he said. “But I’m not certain Buffalo’s the opportunity we’re looking for.” . . Maybe his whole visit to Buffalo was a scheme to gain leverage on Baltimore, where he really wanted to go. Now, with the Ravens no longer needing a back, he has to rethink his whole strategy. In any event, you would think that the guy would at least come in for a visit. It does not hurt him to at least sit down with Marv/DJ et al. Very odd. Brandon Posted March 9, 2007 Share Posted March 9, 2007 While the Bills have a stated interest in using a RB by committee approach, those types of situations usually do have a lead RB that gets the majority of the carries. The only other thing I can think of is that the Bills came right out and said that they were going to draft their RB of the future and Dillon did not want to wind up in the exact same situation he was in last year. I'd doubt that because I believe Dockery talked about how he knows Spikes (share the same agent?) and that Spikes was talking up Buffalo like crazy. I think we just sign AT for now (WHAT"S TAKING SO LONG?) and go into the draft looking for the best available rb that fits Fairchild's style. Hell, we might draft two. We need a starting RB who is as young or younger than Willis and as good or better or we won't win more than 5 games next year. I can see people not wanting Dillon because of his perceived or real attitude - or concerns about his age. But- I really don't see how he is done. He has 39 touchdowns the last three seasons!
