2003's 2007 Mock Draft.

2003

Recommended Posts

Rd.1- DeMarcus Tyler DT NC State(Trade DOWN, Pick up another 3rd rd pick)

He is a "Tank" who can finally be the solid DT that will play alongside Tripplett. He is very strong and powerful (great run stuffer). http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...arcustyler.html

Rd.2- Buster Davis LB FSU

He is London Fletcher's minime. http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...usterdavis.html

Rd.3- Manuel Ramirez OG Texas Tech

A huge guard who could compete with Preston for the RG spot. http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...uelramirez.html

Rd.3- Tony Hunt RB PSU

I think he will be one of the steals of the draft. Joe Paterno said that he is the best RB talent that he has ever coached. This guy will be the replacement for Willis "Dancin'" McGahee. http://www.nfldraftcountdown.com/scoutingr...b/tonyhunt.html

Rd.4- Dallas Baker WR UF

He is a "touchdown maker" and a tall reciever (6'3). Hopefully he can retain his status as a redzone threat in the NFL. http://www.gatorzone.com/football/bios.php...;bio=baker.html

Rd.6- Le'Ron Mcclain FB ALA

A good blocking Fullback with good hands. http://www.rolltide.com/ViewArticle.dbml?S...p;Q_SEASON=2006

Rd.7- Antonio Smith CB OSU

He'll add depth to the CB position and join his fellow OSU alumns. http://ohiostatebuckeyes.cstv.com/sports/m..._antonio00.html

I love the Wolfpack, but was very unhappy with the McCargo pick as he was extremely overrated IMHO. Tyler is NOT the answer to our run stuffing woes. They have him listed at 305lbs which is generous. He would just be another undersized DT to go along with the 3 we have already.

Not to be picky, we need a bigger linebacker to offset our smallish tackles. Also, we need a guard to TAKE OVER preston's spot--not compete for it.

I like the draft--but, wtf do I know??!

Well, the problem is finding a guard in the draft that will come in and be guaranteed a spot right from the start. Most players drafted will come in and have to compete for a spot, but this isn't saying he can't come in and replace Preston (who will probably be penciled in as a starter for training camp) during training camp

As for the LB comment, this is true, I tend to think the Bills will look for someone a bit bigger then Fletcher if they look for a new LB, and from all indications it looks like they will since Fletcher does not look like he will be returning after reading his comments. He doesn't seem to pleased he wasn't offered an extension during previous seasons

I like it, and like you getting younger at the FB position which gets forgotten about easily. Your guy seems to fit what we need instead of wasting a high pick on Brian Leanard, who won't do squat in the NFL like he did in college. They're ALL big and fast up here Brian. I prefer Branch or Okoye at DT, but Tyler could be OK.

Yea we definitly need to get a bigger MLB than Fletcher. The extra height would be a huge difference in the passing game, which always hurt fletcher, just for starters. Definitly got to have that BIG presence in the middle

I am not sure if the passing game hurt fletcher this season, considering that he had 4 INTs. The run game hurt him more.
