Highlights: President Bush, pressed by a reporter as to why Rumsfeld was being removed, instead of, say, two months ago, the president said he felt it wouldn't have been right to make Rumsfelds performance and the war in Iraq a wedge issue so close to the elections...you have to ask yourself, is president Bush (or is it Rove) really that stupid, or does he think people are really that stupid? In the same press conference, when asked what had changed about the way he felt about Rumsfeld, since only a few weeks ago when he claimed Rumsfeld wasn't going anywhere, GW giggled that creepy little giggle and said, the "elections are over".... When asked why people should believe he now has trust in the Democrats in charge (whose "plan" for Iraq, he said last week, was "terrorists win, and America loses") he admitted that you say things on the campaign trail to drum up support....I am sure the president was intending to be honest, but that was a pretty blatant admission that he is a liar.... The one I really got a kick out of, however, was Rush Limbaugh, on his radio show, saying that he was relieved by the results of the election, because he now felt relieved of the responsibility of having to carry the ball for people who don't deserve it...what a complete, utter, piece of sh-- this guy is...my bold prediction for the next two years is that the swine loses his radio job...his buddy Laura Schlesinger is in hot water, for urging her conservative listnership, to jam the phone lines to the offices of their local Democratic headquarters... I don't like Coulter, Bush, Limbaugh, Hannity, and the rest of the excuse factory for the bad decisions of the President or the Congress in the name of the right. The right lost it's "rightness" years ago and became left. The left went so wacky that anyone who has any semblance to sanity is called the right. Imagine Democrats from the 50's promoting a Social Service system that would involve 1 in every 5 Americans? They couldn't. Wait 20 more years when it's almost 1 in 3 Americans because we couldn't privatize Social Security and run further and further in debt robbing Peter to pay Paul. You can't privatize SS because people can't invest their money, the gov't needs it because we are all too dumb to do it correctly. If that's not Socialism I don't know what is. Don't pin the right for not apologizing. I don't need to apologize for them, they are a disgrace for not accepting reality that Bush wasn't truthful and no amount of pointing fingers at the left will allow them to escape they screwed up. Because they are famous they are seen as the true right, but I can assure you the true right still exists in guys like Buchanan. He's a real conservative. He doesn't need to apologize, he said the war was a farce, that borders should be the concern, and that the trade imbalance is going to destroy the country. I DESPISE the term "neo-conservative" because it implies that these people are conservative to begin with. The only thing "conservative" about neo-conservatives is the tax cutting agenda. As he said Rumsfeld wasn't going anywhere, they were vetting Gates. This man has no problem with lying straight-faced. In some instances, I would say this is a desirable trait for any president. I can almost appreciate just how insane Keith Olbermann is. His idea of an informative news show is to zoom the camera in on his giant head for several minutes while he delivers a "special comment" rant that ends up having less substance than Justin Timberlake's "SexyBack" song. To say his opinions have no substnace is silly. I have listened to a number of them, and he gives very specific instances to back up his opinions. Do O'Rileys' lists have any more substance, becuause he acts all mean and tough when he gives them out? At least Olberman doesn't have the audacity to present his opininions as news. Thats' okay, if you don't like him. He is catering to a much smaller demographic, one that can tell the difference between fact and opinion....
