zipster
I was 11. Watching the game with my mom and dad. I remember the tv volume at home was never on, always Van Miller and Murph in the back ground. Wow that pretty much the start of the 90's Bills run. 797743 Hmmmmm . . . I remember listening to the game on the radio at home, but I don't think it was televised. Maybe I'm imagining things. Even on the radio, I heard the THUD as the ball bounced off Fred's hand. zipster
Sweet - good idea for a thread. We clinched vs. the Jets like 6 years in a row We usually blew them out in Jersey but for some reason they always gave us problems at our place even when they were terrible. I was a bit young for this game but I remember the '93 game where their kicker missed like 3 FG's to give us homefield. It was freezing and we got a rare break from the refs when Thurman appeared to fumble before reaching the endzone for our only TD. 797846 "Caaaaaaaaary. Caaaaaaaary." (Blanchard) I was at that game. My beer kept freezing, and I had to scoop-drink it. Steve Christie actually kickjed three feild goals. He said it was like kicking a brick. UnionAMG
Let me find it and I'll let you know. 797848 http://www.billszone.com/coppermine/albums...fandemonium.jpg It's not the best quality but I actually was able to get that printed on a 10"x8" photo paper and it doesn't look too bad hanging up in my room. I can't believe this picture isn't a poster sold as a poster somewhere, I've looked everywhere for one. I would think it would be the best selling bills poster ever! Probably something to do with the rights not wanting to be given up by the person who took the picture.
macdaddy
At the game sitting in the south endzone. Wearing a garbage bag as a raincoat and soaking wet. Got on the field and got smarter as I got close to the goal post. Started backing away and saw a friend of mine moving w/ the crowd and he yelled at me 'don't fall down'. He said later that his feet were off the turf and was just getting moved along in the mahem! Another friend gave me a couple of rocks that were inside the goalpost. Still have them. I ended up at the 50 yard line jumping up and down on the helmet. PS: YANKEES SUCK

I was there with a terrible hangover, and couldn't stand the cold rain into the 4th quarter, so we stood in one of the corner end zone tunnels coming from the upper ring for probably the last few minutes of the 4th and into overtime. My memory is of a fan seated above me repeating (like a prayer or invocation) "Just one time, baby, just one time." He did that at the end of regulation when NORWOOD kicked the tying field goal to go into OT, and then again when Scotty kicked the winner. Lucky for us that whatever deity this gent was invoking couldn't count.

LancasterSteve
I was on the field that day standing about 10 feet from Marv Levy when Smerlas blocked the fieldgoal. We took turns escorting Coach Levy on and off the field and this particular day I drew the short straw. Usually I would have been up around the old E-10 section (50 yard line-lower bowl), radio in hand, out of the elements directing security. The Red Coats were brought down on the field if I remember correctly. Lot of good that accomplished All of us knew all the coaches and players and there was a mutual respect. If we said we have to MOVE NOW and get off the field they listened. This particular day we ALL ran to the tunnel. It was like the whole stadium just got poured onto the field. It happened pretty quickly and I still remember seeing the first people come over the wall on the far corner, scoreboard side. It was an extra long day for me. Usually I was able to head home 2 hours or so after the game; that day it was closer to six. I found out later that most of the arrests were for people cutting out pieces of turf, never heard of anyone getting charged with the goalposts coming down. Probably safe to say that there was 10,000 people around each goalpost when I glanced out a window of one of the offices (yes there were offices for RW, Polian the GM and coaches and staff where the M&T club is now) after taking a player up-I think it was Shane Conlan. Those were really nice years to work for the Bills. I still have have many friends from the 6 or so years I worked for the Buffalo Bills. Good people and fun times.
