I liked your last year Thanksgiving post where you pointed out that you shared dinner with eight, (I believe), other progressives and your view summary.

Again, i had dinner with kids and grandkids, with no mention of politics, as is normal here. 

 

I always wondered if you ask people to identify their political views.

I have no idea what the views are of my associates.

Never comes up. Certainly not at dinner.

Nope. Most of my family are progressive. Most friends are because common ideals are attractive. No need to ask. It’s readily apparent which side someone is on almost always. Haven’t done a family celebration with the few MAGAs in my family since they told us they weren’t immunized nor would they mask at an event in the midst of covid. We explained that we both worked around and with very susceptible people but they were unfazed. I don’t care for Long Island anyway.
