Overdoing the tush-push against KC in the playoffs; 2. Not giving help to the Oline against Houston, which was clearly being beaten by 4 rushers; 3. Not getting plays in timely for Josh to make adjustments; 4. Overdoing the lateral screen to Shakir/Dalton/Ty (worked for a while); 5. Getting too cute too often; 6. Not scheming the running backs into the passing game more consistently; 7. Running Cook 4x in a row in one series vs Houston; 8. Not scheming enough quick hitters where the ball comes out early when we are facing pressure. Our wide receivers are not good, but they were worse when Josh started in 2018. People got open. And if no WR is ever open, put two backs in the game and get them matched up on LBs, use TEs other than Kincaid more. There are answers, I believe, and it seems he is not finding them. Totally agree with this. This group of coaches is not good at in-game adjustments unless it is at the half which is unsat. I know we are talking about offense but I remember a time when the Bills defense would allow the opposing team to come down on their first drive and score either a TD or FG then we would lock it down after figuring out what they are trying to do. It was Leslie Frazier that did that and he was good at it and it was expected. This staff let the game get away from them in the first half against ATL and HOU and made adjustments at the half rather then in game. The offense doesn't seem to make adjustments or have a back up plan for anything. It is like Brady is playing madden while the rest of the league is playing real life football. The screen works in madden all the time so lets keep running it. If Cook is running the ball so well lets run that play over and over again until they stop it. It is putting so much on film for these Defensive coordinators to figure out and counter before the play is even run. The screen's aren't working anymore...and why isn't Shakir running the small pattern for four yards and turn around for a quick hitter or a slant over the middle and hit the ground like Beasley used to for a quick 4-6 yards. I know we all hated Beasley's RAC ability but some of his catches and hitting the ground make a lot of sense right now and are needed. If Hawes is such a great blocker why can't we line him up in the backfield to help out with blocking and sending Cook/Johnson/or Coleman in the TE spot to chip and run routes with a solidified blocker in the back field. Just thinking outside the box. 1 Quote

His first 2 years he didn’t have a QB for the first 2 years then they finally drafted Stafford. His defense is always legit. I’m just ready for a change. Our current staff isn’t stagnant. Quote

Why? They would end up being a challenge to him. Thats the reality of the situation. So McDermott is so sinister he’d bypass a top notch candidate and risk keeping the Bills from success for the sake of keeping his job and he’s got Pegula hoodwinked of his true intentions? How did I miss that? Edited 1 hour ago by US Egg Quote

Just thinking outside the box. These are things that you would assume: 1. The Bills worked on these offensive plays in practice and had some alternates if they dont work. 2. On defense that they studied game film on their opponents offenses and practiced all kinds of scenarios and paid attention to the opposing team's tendencies 3. That they had spotters in the booth analyzing what their opponents were doing in game and making adjustments not just in game but in the particular drive of the game (whether the Bills were on offense or defense). Thats what I would assume the Bills are doing. You can see other NFL teams (at least the good ones) doing this in game. Then again the performance vs the Dolphins, Falcons and Texans games would strongly suggest otherwise. Quote
