The only thing the Bills were better at was special teams, which was significant. Despite all that, the Bills won by 12, largely because Brady let Josh Allen be Josh Allen, with all the good and bad that comes with it. The Bills got many explosive plays, and that is why they won. Other notes: Gabe Davis is very good at what he does. Really helped Allen. TD pass to Shavers was essentially a "designed" busted play by Allen. It was 3rd and 5, and Allen had easy first down throws to both Davis and Johnson. But Josh recognized Tampa was playing a soft zone, and he went for the big play instead. This time it worked. The TD to Cook was great play design and read by Allen. Bardy had a number of well-designed plays that were well executed, e.g., the TD to Johnson, designed Allen runs. Kubiak observes that this game should dispel the notion that the Bills are devoid of playmakers. They can make plays if well designed and executed. He concludes: "Allen, for all his abilities, is not a robot. He makes mistakes. It is, in a sense, part of what makes him so special... Above all else, Allen and this team have the potential and explosiveness to beat any team." Behind BN paywall. Go Bills!!! Beat Houston!!! 4 Quote
NoSaint Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) Generally any WR making it to the nfl CAN make a play any given Sunday. It’s why we all love the bubble guys in camp - they all flash the ability to do it sometimes. it’s a huge gap from a guy that can do it occasionally to a guy that can do you t week in and week out - especially in games after new years with Allen - cook - Kincaid we have pieces to help elevate our WRs but we still don’t have guys that are simply winning matchups at the rate needed Edited 1 hour ago by NoSaint 2 Quote

BillytheKid Posted 56 minutes ago Posted 56 minutes ago Hopefully Brady let’s Josh do what he does again and doesn’t go back to trying to control him. 1 Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted 22 minutes ago Posted 22 minutes ago How do people still not realize we do this dance every year? We start the season with Allen reigning it in a bit. First month to two months of the season, not so many designed runs. Let Allen avoid taking a lot of shots early in the season. Then around the bye, the gloves come off and Allen goes wild with running, taking more chances. It's a long season and reducing Allen's hits early in the season is a calculated move by the Bills. 2 Quote
