Too expensive and unproductive with Dallas to take a dart on waivers. He isnt subject to waivers. His prorated guaranteed salary for the reminder of the season is around 518,000 so I dont think salary is an issue either. If the Rams or the Patriots are willing to sign him to the 53 I could see him going to either place. If its the PS then Buffalo, Denver, would also make sense. Players released after the trade deadline are subject to waivers, which are reserve order of the NFL standings. We’re around 26th in the order: https://en.as.com/nfl/can-nfl-teams-sign-players-after-the-trade-deadline-in-what-cases-f202511-n/?outputType=amp That said, maybe no one will want to pick up his contract and he will sign with us. That’s about the only way I see Cooks becoming a Bill this season. 1 Quote

There's probably some that like it, but I cringe whenever I hear it. Yeah the easy way for me to remember that is the year T-Sizzle Suggs got himself released from Arizona in the final few weeks of the 2019 season so he could return to the Ravens for a playoff run. He was infuriated when the Chiefs claimed him. He ended up on a Chiefs SB winning team. 1 Quote

Beane screwed up the wr position so bad that we are thinking about a shot Cooks, last year it was claypooll..what’s worse he spends so little early day draft resources on the position. Unacceptable. Unacceptable. You could literally name 10 retread old ass receivers we've tried to make work since 2022. It's a joke. We have people on this board thinking Shavers is the next John Stallworth because nobody else can literally do anything. I'm hoping the bengals keep sucking so the rift with Chase grows and he demands out. Then I'd no lie give up 3 first rounders + (and throw in stallworth/shavers ;)) Quote
