So I'm going to assume you wouldn't want to kick back to them because you don't have faith in the defense to stop them from scoring? So it would in effect be a 9 point swing rather than just a 2 point on the safety and making a stop on defense. Would that be correct? With this defense, I'm not saying it's wrong. They very well may have given up a longer TD drive.

But, the outcome now is already known. The defense shut it down and only gave up a FG. But in the moment, all outcomes were possible. That easily could have been a pick 6. They easily could have (and probably should have) converted that into a TD. With the variance of the outcome unknown and without the benefit of using hindsight, it was an incredibly stupid and wreckless play on Josh's part.

All we can say at this point, post facto, is that it was the best move because of the way it worked out.

Sure, ideally, we dont throw any picks, or take any safeties. But here we are.

It worked out in our favor as much as it could have.

And I'd rather live and die with the full "Josh Allen Experience" over neutered Josh who has to protect the Defense while carrying the offense.

The rest of this season needs to be Josh in Thanos mode. Just go do everything and anything yourself. Go make plays. He will make some mistakes along the way but “game manager Josh” isn’t going to get it done despite how badly this regime wants that. If the Bills are ever going to win a Super Bowl it’s because their QB is the best player in the world. It’s not going to be because they controlled the clock with the run game and played solid defense. 🤣🤣

Yesterday was yet another example (if you seriously needed one) that we will win with Josh and it will be despite the coaches, both Brady and McD. Brady was better at times yesterday but as the OP states, the game plan on offense has been erratic this season. What's also happened in the losses this season and even yesterday is that McD and Babbich take forever to get their sht together on defense. Sure the talent isnt there, we are fielding some old and slow players and several key players are injured but put the people we have into a better position to win. Over and over again we are getting gashed on the run and there was no answer. In fact it was because we kept scoring on offense that the Bucs finally abandoned the run because they were running out of time, no because of McD's adjustments. There didnt seem to be a spy on Mayfield at the start. I think this might have been corrected later on but why not? Pass rush was going nowhere at the start as well and then eventually getting through. The Blitzes we do are just too predictable.

Imagine if we had a solid innovative defense that confused teams and crushed their spirit early or a took the shackles off Josh on offense. We would be killing these teams and easily the #1 seed.
