T master Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Okay we've all heard the complaints of how changes need to be made and how many here want to have McD's and Beans head on a platter and up until this point I have been one of those people that has always said stay to the course and this guy can & will get it done but my mind has had a bit of a change of heart . Although I think we all can agree McD is a great human being, has a great football mind when it comes to certain parts of the game, and has lead this team out of the doldrums of mediocrity to become a perennial play off team, but after this game a game they should have won easily even with the injuries I'm very perplexed and think change could be a good thing . That being said I don't believe they should blow up EVERYTHING or clean house moving forward but make a big enough move to show the rest of the organization that mediocrity is not executable going forward . I have often asked all the haters here just WHO would they put in place of McD if they had a chance to make a change and never really got a good answer from any of them but if history tells us anything I think it may be better that they give a promotion from with in . We all remember the Bally who that was when Rex got hired right ? The Bills had a GREAT D coordinator with Schwartz at the helm and they fired then coach Saint Doug & Pegs thought that by bringing in a HC that had been there was better for the team but Rex Blew up most everything and Schwartz saw the writing on the wall so he bolted then we all know what happened Rex went from a D of 4/3 players and tried to pigeon hole them into a 3/4 D which went straight to hell in a couple of years . So all that being said I have made my decision that something needs to be changed but I would like to see a promotion from with in, a Super Bowl winning coach that would keep a lot of the stability on the team and is more offensive minded that I think has paid his dues and is still young enough to make this team better is Aaron Kromer . The guy has the chops, the resume, the experience of it all and has been to the Mountain top but if I am correct has never been given a chance to be "The Man'' or a HC in the NFL . Stability would be there, I think his input with Beane could be of great help in the drafting offensive & defensive players, and it would be a shake up the franchise to let everyone know to S**T or get off the pot . He could bring in some very competent coaches that he may have worked with or likes their offensive play calling and felt he could work with to improve the offense along with his experience & input . I just wonder what ya'll might think of this kind of move I just don't think blowing up everything is the way to go and with Kroger's knowledge not only of the game but the other coaches he has worked with over his time in the league this might be a really good move IF there is that possibility . What say you ?? 1 2 Quote
CirclnWagons Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Every time I go to a game, the landscaping around the facilities is really nice and seems to be kept clean so I’d keep the folks over that. Get rid of absolutely EVERYONE else. Quote
BuffaloBillyG Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Promotion from within only works if you measure them up with those not in the organization honestly. When you already decide who you want and conduct interviews to fulfill the Rooney Rule only, you're doing your whole hiring process a disservice. Quote
Saint Doug Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Promoting within only works when you have had prior success and want to continue it. Not winning a Superbowl with Josh Allen isn’t the definition of success. Quote
GroteStreet Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I hope Clappy and Beane are both gone at the end of the year. These two have proven themselves to be very nice human beings who can take a franchise from the bottom very good (with the help of an all-world QB), but no farther. 7 years of basically the same results proves this. Kromer deserves to be interviewed for head coach, his work with the Oline has been very good. I hope he is here next year in some capacity. Quote

Not winning a Superbowl with Josh Allen isn’t the definition of success. Well that is the reason for the mention of Kromer . He won a SB with the Saints under Sean Peyton and had Drew Breeze as his QB so he saw how to build a offense first hand and he was the O line coach so I'm just throwing it out there but every. one wants to burn down the entire thing so I'm in the minority . Not to mention his time in LA with Stafford he may not have won a SB there but he was part of a really good team so he's got some good chops !! It was just a thought . Quote
harmonkillebrew Posted 14 minutes ago Posted 14 minutes ago Nah, bring in a new regime. Josh and the other leaders will keep the continuity and lockeroom culture in place. But we need a HC with a coaching edge and a new offensive philosophy. Need new talent evaluators and decision makers. 2 Quote
Yobogoya! Posted 10 minutes ago Posted 10 minutes ago Yeah maybe we can promote Slick Rick from the mailroom 1 Quote
ChronicAndKnuckles Posted 9 minutes ago Posted 9 minutes ago (edited) don’t flame me but… I think the Bills should at least CONSIDER interviewing Brian Daboll. I remember when the big question was if the Bills were better off retaining him instead of McDermott. There definitely would be a lot less growing pains and Josh could make an easy transition into his offense. With Cook/Kincaid/Shakir/Allen i think Daboll could have better results than Brady. Possibly could even lure Nabers here. Edited 9 minutes ago by ChronicAndKnuckles Quote
