The Chicago Cardinals (remember them) started out using old University of Chicago Maroons uniforms. The university had recently given up football. The ':cardinal" color was actually the faded red of the university jerseys. The Denver Broncos start life with their infamous "Milk Duds" uniforms -- brown and mustard with vertically striped socks.. These uniforms had been used in a college all-star game in the 1950's. The uniforms were so hated by the fans that after a couple of years the tram held a public bonfire at which the uniforms were burned. The Baltimore Colts (remember them) inherited their Blue and White scheme from the defunct Dallas Texans NFL franchise after purchasing that teams asseits and moving the team to Baltimore. The Colts moniker was retained from the old AAFL Baltimore Colts franchise (silver and Green unis) Quote
Old Coot Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago As for the Cold Front unis, save them for the next big blizzard on gameday. Quote
hondo in seattle Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I know of an abandoned football field. I'd like to collect all the Cold Front jerseys, take them to that field, pile them up in a pyre, and burn them as an offering to the Gridiron Gods. And never see them again. Quote

wakingfane Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago The logos on the helmets were supposed to look frosted but instead they looked like gray blobs. I think there was too much lead in the paint because the players looked brain damaged. Quote
