Democrats couldn’t wait to pull the lever for a man who wants 45% of his constituents dead or to be witnessed dying in their mothers arms. I live in Northern Virginia which is full of angry progressives, some of whom have been furloughed as a result of the government shutdown. They're an angry bunch, but how far off the rails do you have to go to vote for this guy? I guess it's open season on Republicans in Virginia now. I wonder if Jones will even bother to prosecute the assailants. Edited 3 hours ago by Artful Dodger 1
SCBills Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago On the bright side, the shutdown likely ends soon now that it’s done its job in Virginia. NoVa voted for Jay Jones at a higher clip than Kamala Harris.
The Frankish Reich Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago "The devotees of the party in power are smug and arrogant. The devotees of the party out of power are insane" And again, Jane's Law (courtesy of Megan McArdle) holds. All the Trumpies who thought there was a new wave of MAGA sentiment, that the Democrats were dead in the water, now discover that being smug and arrogant is not the ticket to retaining power. The loonies won in NYC, but the regular Dems won everywhere else. 1
