We ALL need to remember it, let's all try to be better to each other. I like your view, however this idea was shared on here the day Trump was shot in butler and months later….. Same type of comments, same type of hyperbole. This time a man did lose his life and people on this very board have justified It. The liberals on this board wouldn’t try to kill me because of my politics themselves but they would applaud it if it happened and if able to vote for an authority. There is no reasoning with that belief 1 hour ago, Tenhigh said: Come on bro, there must be some Republicans who dont reflect your values... 3
Niagara Bill Posted September 11 Posted September 11 8 hours ago, SectionC3 said: This is very, very misleading. New York State has some bad bail laws. (And this is a Democrat saying this.) But those laws are not remotely close to "easy bail" or "no bail" for dangerous people. If you say otherwise, you don't know what you're talking about or you're intentionally misleading. The dialogue with bail, frankly, is part of this problem of misleading toxicity. I don't like the bail laws. I think there's not enough discretion for judges. But they're not anywhere near the blight that too many people have made them out to be. Candidly, Kathy Hochul was totally right about this in the recent article in the Buffalo News about this issue. We need better judges who spend time reading those laws and know how to use them. (Some of the worst offenders in that respect that I know, and I do this all the time, are Republicans.) As I said, why would anyone support easy , or no bail laws. In NY, Oregon, Cali, Texas, Fla, Ohio or anywhere. No sure why you think I meant only NY.

I have my beefs with the law but, insofar as any release of alleged violent criminals is concerned, a lot of it is on the judges.

Leftist judges handpicked by soros and the the American version of hamas, the Democratic Party. To release violent criminals to the streets knowing full well what havoc they are causing. The Democratic Party needs to be dismantled immediately. That’s the only way this country will survive.

Wrong on all counts. You’re talking about local and state judges. These aren’t “Soros” people. They’re probably more Republican than they are Democrat. And they are part of the problem. 1

Not only is it factually wrong, it’s incendiary. You want to know what a big part of the problem is, from someone who does this every day? Lazy Republican judges taking care of their own. They don’t have to work to get in upstate. They don’t read the law. And the people who practice in front of them are typically Republicans. (Take a look at why the assigned counsel program is going to get trashed in Erie County. It’s because one of the biggest Trumpers I know churned junk files and hit the taxpayers for about half a million this year.). They do their buddies favors to help the practices and to protest the bail laws they don’t like. Of course there are lousy democratic judges in the cities. But to say this is primarily a democratic problem is wrong all the way around.

It’s too late to suddenly want peace and blame the other side after their disgusting behavior! You lost any right to have a say in this while you supported this behavior with your hateful rhetoric I’ve read on PPP for years!

I don't suffer fools, that's for sure, and I give people like you a hard time when you say stupid things like you have this morning. But I am not hateful. And on the "judges" issue, you remain completely wrong.

Zohran is neither a communist nor a Hamas supporter. As one of his campaign’s many volunteer canvassers, I know his political positions extremely well and better than anyone else in this subforum. Zohran is a democratic socialist who is proposing a relatively anodyne policy platform of social democracy, with only five distinctly socialistic exceptions: a public grocery store in each borough. He also happens to believe in a one-state Israel solution (i.e. full and equal citizen rights for all Palestinians living in Gaza and in the West Bank), even though one’s foreign policy is irrelevant as mayor… The 2025 Bills season could very well be a magical one! Try following our football team instead of posting down here ~1,000,000 times per day. Too much PPP is super unhealthy… 1 1
