Social norms.

It's a different culture.

You can even see it here with various groups.

Rhetorical question. I was waiting for TDS patients to make it about Trump.

I have no idea what your nephew does.

I do have a very good idea of what the Guard and Reserves do, and they deploy on active duty and carry out the same missions as as anybody else in the military, often for extended periods.

It isn't what is used to be, and they are very involved.

I'm not saying they aren't important or useful. I'm just saying that we need to think hard about what level of active/reserve/guard troops we need, since they aren't exactly cost-free. Ukraine is showing us that we're in a very new age of warfare.

I know what they do, and they deploy and pull triggers just like active duty, all the time.

I think the current state of the US armed forces indicates and absolutely knows "what level of guard/reserve we need."

They are invaluable, cheaper, and extremely effective.

We could not support our military mission without them.

Do we need 3+ million active/reserve/guard/civilian employees in DOD?  Are you suggesting we should just trust them without question? What happened to the promised DOGE comes to DOD phase?

You are going full Tibsy.

You are asserting that I have said something I never have, nor ever will. Total Tibs.

I have no view on "civilian employees" in DOD. Your phrase.

What I have stated, and believe with clear, undeniable personal knowledge, is that the Reserves/National Guard supplement the active duty military, deploy regularly to war zones and our capability would be nowhere near what it is without them.

In short, we couldn't function as we do without them.

What about all the sh ithhole small towns that are disgusting?

You are an idiot. Go wipe someone's a$$, about all you are good for

Prisoners do collect trash, I've seen that.

You want our troops reduced to the level of criminals? 🤷‍♂️

No they wouldn't be but if those that are being reprimanded for some of their actions I say go for it & I would rather have them making America Clean again instead of sitting around doing nothing at all & getting paid for it . Of course your all about wasting money seeing as how much B**ching you did about DOGE so none of that irresponsibility bothers you .

What they really need to start doing is charging littering fees instead of just hanging signs that say No Littering . Every time a cop sees someone throwing some thing out a window $200 I'l be willing to bet there would be a lot less trash on the ground but then you would B**ch about that too because it would be unfair in some way shape or form .
