Last year an argument can be made that Allen did his best he could and Kincaid failed him. But then you can also say why didn't Allen recognize the perfect blitz the Chiefs were sending at the time? The year before, I really questioned Allen's decision to go for the end zone - I was thinking what Mahomes would do or Brady would do in that exact situation? Allen may never say it but I think that play may be one of those that drove him to make better decisions all of the 2024 season. I certainly hope Allen learned a lesson last year (there is something about making one less mistakes than the opponent) and keeps up this year and forward. In that sense, he closes the biggest gap between him and Mahomes/Brady. Speaking of Brady and making less mistakes than your opponents, isn't that the biggest strength of the GOAT? Pure football talent wise, Brady may rank outside of 100 of all QBs, and during his time in NFL, you can insert multiple QB names each year that analysts and fans said was better than Brady. Yet Brady won the most and that's what it counts at the end. For Mr. Joshua Patrick Allen, until he wins superbowls - yes probably needing more than one - no one should crown him the best QB. Quote

You're right. It was. And then it wasn't as he threw the ball in a way nobody else in the league could and had it land in the hands of yet another blown high draft pick by the idiots running the show at OBD. And of course, said bust promptly dropped it. How could Josh Allen choke again like this?!?! Edited July 15 by QB Bills Quote
hondo in seattle Posted July 15 Posted July 15 Polling random, anonymous execs is a better methodology than polling random, anonymous lawn bowling fans, but still far from perfect. Some of these so-called "executives" aren't going to be very familiar with Josh. Maybe they're an NFC guy whose team hasn't played Josh in a while. Maybe their executive position is "Director of Marketing," and they've never played a down of football and can't tell the difference between a nickel and a dime. The perfect evaluator would be a football savant who's watched every play of every game. And if you consider leadership an important leadership skill like I do, then the evaluator needs to attend every practice, film session, huddle, and so on. I don't take QB rankings seriously, even when NFL executives are voting. Quote

Not to mention all the horrible coaching decisions he's made over the years.Cut this bum before he loses any more playoff games for us. 1 Quote
uticaclub Posted July 16 Posted July 16 Against the top 12 QBs, we were 2-3, which seems fair. Allowing 33 points per game is better than I expected. Quote
