Just a few days ago I saw an episode on Emergency from the early 70s where he played a young, arrogant doctor. Pretty good actor. My 2 older sisters went to one of his concerts. Screamed so much they couldn't talk for days.

That role influenced him to become an EMT with the  LAFD for years after his singing career ended.  Like Ken Osmond (Eddie Haskel) became a cop.
