Trump ran as the “President of peace” and is now happily threatening to send forces to attack Iran, and your side is going right along with it!

The ones here are part of The Cult. As Trump himself says, MAGA means what I say it means. I know best. Don't ask questions. Follow me to the Golden Age.

Thats a pretty general statement to make…Again, MAGA is not a monolith…We encompass many different people, with an underlying, unifying ideal, but a wide range of thought. I think you would be surprised to know just how many people on the Right would not support the U.S. entering this war. Many of us learned our lesson with Iraq and Afghanistan. And our government is not going to be able to get away with using the same tired excuses anymore…👍 Edited June 20 by JaCrispy
BillsFanNC Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I think it's idiotic to overreact to a couple of elections in blue states, but a few thoughts: 1) Scot Pressler, TPUSA, and a bunch of others have been working hard to register voters. I said it in 2022, and I've said it repeatedly since: our coalition is "lower propensity" and that means we have to do better at turning out voters than we have in the past. 2) We need to focus on the home front. The president has done a lot that has already paid off in lower interest rates and lower inflation, but we inherited a disaster from Joe Biden and Rome wasn't built in a day. We're going to keep on working to make a decent life affordable in this country, and that's the metric by which we'll ultimately be judged in 2026 and beyond. 3) The infighting is stupid. I care about my fellow citizens--particularly young Americans--being able to afford a decent life, I care about immigration and our sovereignty, and I care about establishing peace overseas so our resources can be focused at home. If you care about those things too, let's work together.

Who's infighting on the Republican lock-step side? Another implied criticism. Contrary to the opening post in this thread, it does appear that Republicans used their control over all parts of the federal government to shoot themselves in the nuts.

To the R's credit, the leader of the party (not the showman) was able to convey this thoughts on the latest election and what his team could do to improve their odds going forward. Still waiting on the D's to discuss what went wrong in 2024.

Mamdani aside (it's a NY thing, and he's really nothing other than a Muslim De Blasio), the big winners yesterday were two center-left women who gave an air of competence, particularly in comparison with their Republican counterparts. Trump is now suggesting the old double-down strategy, kill the filibuster so we own everything. 2020 wasn't a mandate in favor of Bidenism; it was a rebuke of Trumpism, particularly Trump incompetence. 2024 wasn't a mandate in favor of Trumpism; it was a rebuke of Biden and Harris incompetence. 1

That is a good analogy. NYC is it's own odd crucible. 1

I hope upstate New Yorkers won’t have to pay for NYC communist agenda. If they want it, let the city pay for it. I would cut off all federal funding and let them experience real communism. I bet it won’t last a year.

NY will always be left of center as far as most policies go. But the difference between Giuliani (before senility) and Bloomberg vs. Dinkins and De Blasio and (I fear) Mamdani is pretty stark. That's where the mayor makes an on-the-ground difference.
