I don't think his preppy condescension does it for the masses like Trump's 5th grade vocabulary bludgeon. But to me, a would be elitist, he's good. I despise JD Vance. I dislike Gavin Newsom. But Newsom is damn good at this too. Glib. Which for a politician is a backhanded compliment. 2028 debates could be fun!

Liberal fellow, funny, smart and from a wealthy family, and we’ve disagreed about politics many times in the past. Admittedly it’s been a while since we talked about San Francisco but he was quite disillusioned at the decline in standard of living he had seen of late last time we spoke. Garbage, trash, drug addicts, human excrement all over the place, and squarely placed the blame of extreme liberal policies. Perhaps they’ve fixed those issues, or maybe they’re kept out of view of visitors v allowing the locals to suffer, but how they even allowed it to get there was enough to keep me from voting for those people.
