Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.), one of the closely watched holdouts against Rep. Jim Jordan (R-Ohio), maintains he is holding his ground and adds that Jordan might receive less support in a second round of votes.

“I think that Jim will lose some more people on that vote; it’ll be more than 20 that will vote against him,” Buck said before it was announced that the next round of voting would be no earlier than Wednesday. “And then we will probably have a conference at some point.”

It's almost as if they want the government to fail. Hope they remember that all revolutions devour their young

Rep. Ken Buck (R-Colo.) will retire from Congress next week, he said Tuesday, a stunning announcement that will narrow the House GOP’s razor-thin majority even further.

Buck — who has become known for breaking from his party on various issues and criticizing Republicans on election denialism — announced last year that he would depart the House at the end of his current term, but expedited that timeline Tuesday.

Looks like we are getting a spending bill

https://www.washingtonexaminer.com/news/2933061/house-gop-revolts-johnson-government-spending-legislation/

House Republicans are decrying the final government spending legislation up for a vote Friday, accusing House Speaker Mike Johnson of failing to secure key GOP wins in a 1,012-page bill that was largely negotiated behind closed doors without lawmaker input.

The $1.2 trillion minibus legislation has been touted as a win by both Republican and Democratic leaders. But some hard-line Republicans are criticizing the legislation as a “failure of leadership” from Johnson, claiming the party was not able to secure as many policy wins as they should have with their House majority.
