Poyer had 10 starts over the previous two seasons and would have been more but for injury. I like Jaquan, he is a baller, but he has 1 start in three seasons.

Correct but he has also had three years of practice for the same team/system under which he’d be playing.  Poyer had a transition to make when he came in.  These things may offset.  All I’m really saying is that a first round safety may never end up being necessary for the Bills.

Yea the sweet spot is round 2 IMO and we know they have had safeties targeted in two of the last three drafts in that second round. It will be interesting to see if Poyer goes after this season does that mean an extension for Jaquan? They will draft someone, sure, but I agree it probably won't be round 1 so they will need to have a bridge option. That could be Jaquan or a it could be a vet lower end FA.
