Tbh, if Beane hadn't been as successful as he is, then I'm sure that MDermott would have been retained if Beane was 'let go'. In the future, I believe they will stand or fall together. The Pegula’s need to just stay away. With the Bills the NFL provided help and resources. Thankfully they got rid of Brandon (don’t let Rex leave the building) and used the resources available to find McD. Some luck involved but they should get credit for the hire. The NHL has not been nearly as accommodating to the guy that was just gonna drill wells and spend money to win Cups.
