Thanks after the initial summary by google: The Supreme Court has rejected Ghislaine Maxwell's appeal, upholding her 20-year sex trafficking conviction. The denial means Maxwell's conviction and sentence will stand, and her only remaining potential avenue for release is a presidential pardon or commutation. Lawyers for Maxwell stated they were "deeply disappointed" but would continue to seek other legal options. I saw a few articles, including this unfavorable one by CNN. Didn’t see much on Trump giving her a break though, especially not on a preferential treatment situation. https://www.cnn.com/2025/11/18/politics/what-we-know-epstein-files
Andy1 Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago (edited) What changed is that the MAGA base wants the files released after their candidates campaigned on it for years. The Dems saw vulnerability in Trump obstructing the release and pushed for the vote. Every day the news is about Trump and Epstein is a good day for the Dems. That’s politics. It’s been over 20 years since a lot of the crimes occurred. A lot of the names in those files are probably retired or dead, or out of the public eye by now so their power has waned and the politicians voting now may not care about them much. No one wants to be accused of standing on the side of the pedos. Whatever is released, no one will be happy. No one believes anything anymore except that there is unity of opinion that the files should be opened to the public. People believe what they want to and absorb through their preferred media. Unless explicit details about Trump are in there, Dems will think Trump had his name removed from the files. Trump team has been through it all so they know what will be released, or not. MAGA will ignore whatever Trump stuff there is and focus on the Dem names in there. People who were just associates, but not guilty of any crimes will also be in there and their names will be out. It will be a mess. Reporters will have a field day sifting through it all and books will be written. I doubt anything implicating Trump will be released, but we may see who some real wealthy scumbags are. Edited 1 hour ago by Andy1

And that's better than nothing. I'm sure the girls who were raped and trafficked agree.

I just hope when the details are released it will show who the true discussing pedos are no mater what their political affiliations are or what social standings they have. I worry though that it will just show a bunch of people who Epstein socialized with, and that doesn’t give us a lot above what was already known… we need his client list, not just people that he shook hands with 1

It should be investigated and it will be. We've waited for years for the Epstein files to be released and will likely wait longer due to the dept of justice running interference. It's reasonable to wait a little longer to judge Plaskett's role and the legal implications. If she's guilty of something, throw her to the wolves just like all the rapists involved with Epstein.
