It’s a one game break from the AFC East for the Bills. They’ve got the Detroit Lions making a rare regular season appearance in Orchard Park this Sunday, and the Lions still have slim playoff hopes.

Here are the top seven storylines this week as the Bills get set to host Detroit:

1. DABOLL’S FOCUS: KEEPING JOSH ON TRACK

2. FORMER PATRIOTS ASSISTANTS ON THE SIDELINES

3. FOSTER IS A FIND FOR BUFFALO OFFENSE

4. WHO WILL CARRY THE MAIL?

5. REPLACING MILANO

6. SETTING THE TONE ON SPECIAL TEAMS

7. RARE REGULAR SEASON MATCHUP

Yeah I would go Flowers and Troy Niklas and maybe get them on futures deals or something for next year.

Bills' Josh Allen Will Test Lions' QB Rushing Defense

By Matt Schoch, Special to The Detroit News

Allen Park — The Lions improving run defense always has been good at one aspect this season, which figures to be put to the test on Sunday.

After containing the scrambling of quarterbacks such as Russell Wilson, Mitch Trubisky and Cam Newton this season, a strong-armed rookie from Wyoming is the Lions’ biggest test yet in that regard.

The Lions (5-8) have allowed just 62 yards on the ground to quarterbacks on 34 carries this season, with Wilson’s 11-yard first quarter run on Oct. 28 as the only rush of double-digit yardage this season.

But Buffalo’s Josh Allen, the seventh pick of the draft, has three straight games of rushing yardage that are each more than the Lions have allowed all season to a quarterback. He also has 16 plays this season of 11 or more yards on a carry, including 11 in the last three games.

“We prepared well and I think the guys have a good job on that,” Lions linebackers coach Al Golden said. “Now having said that, I think Buffalo and Allen might be our greatest challenge this year. The young man is doing an unbelievable job of moving the football for Buffalo.”

Every week during the regular season we get an opportunity to talk with the opposing head coach via conference call. This week it was Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott. I also scanned the Buffalo area media websites and the Bills website, to see what else the Bills players and coaches are saying about this week’s matchup with the Lions.

Here’s what they had to say:

Bills WR Isaiah McKenzie Talks Josh Allen, Speed and Buffalo

Orchard Park, N.Y. -- Buffalo Bills wide receiver Isaiah McKenzie has made a impactquickly since the team picked him up off waivers from the Denver Broncos.

McKenzie has two rushing touchdowns in four games with the Bills which ties him for second on the team with featured back LeSean McCoy.

Bills coach Sean McDermott said the team could use McKenzie's speed the day after they brought him to Buffalo.

"He's got some return ability, he's played wide receiver and the speed he plays, he plays fast," McDermott said. "He brings some speed to the table, which is a good addition."

NYUP.com started a new weekly feature this week by asking Buffalo Bills Reddit to give us questions to ask for a player they want to learn more about. Here's this week's Q&A with McKenzie, powered by Buffalo Bills Reddit.

Kyle Williams: "Continue to Prepare" (6:46)

Defensive Tackle Kyle Williams addressed the media inside the locker room topics include; LB Tremaine Edmunds leadership skills, QB Josh Allen setting into a leadership role on the offense, and his message to the team for the final three weeks.
