Norwood for Wall of Fame Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 What's the over/under on Peterman becoming QB1? I say about 5 games. Think of it this way. Either you play to win this year or you spend the season trying to figure out what to do to make best use out of 6 picks in the first 3 rounds next year. Once it becomes obvious that there's no winning this year (when the Bills are about 1-4) the smart thing to do is to figure out if Peterman has potential to be a real starting quarterback in the NFL, or whether you need to package up a few picks to get the Next Great Thing in the 2018 draft.

If Tyrod lingers in concussion protocol or misses enough time leading up to Week 1, Peterman could step in for a week or two. And really, the scenario is not the worst. He would get two full weeks of reps before facing the lowly Jets. Depending on how he performs, you can make decisions on Carolina. It's not the worst case.
Magox Posted August 28, 2017 Posted August 28, 2017 I say 11. I hope that TT plays the whole year but I believe we will be out of playoff contention pretty early on and they'll want to get a truly good look at Peterman before they draft.
