@rapsheet

On JJ Watts back surgery: Im told the recovery time is 6-8 weeks & it happened very recently. Puts him right up against the start of 2016

@craigzumsteg

JPP had back surgery for a similar issue 6/4/13. Missed preseason, and didn't have a great year. That was with an extra 6 week to recover.

Can't believe the Texans drafted him since he is going to be out in the beginning of the season.

Lol that is such a myth.

It's his back, he isn't a god. He isn't even super human

it's not that he is superhuman it's that they have MUCH better access to specialist that can speed the healing proses.

So does everyone else. It's called HGH. Not that I don't think he isn't already on it.

  • 2 weeks later...

JJ should not be anywhere near the playing field week 1.

I had back surgery and returned to normal activities too soon. I eff'ed it up. Post-surgical scarring says the MRI.

I pay the price for that poor decision everyday: the price is pain, life-long pain.

and, I'm guessing your "normal activities" didn't include 300 lb OLineman leaning onto you repeatedly.

Back issues can be very tricky for linemen in particular due the range of motion they use and blocks, etc they take on every play. Texans should play this very carefully.
