Hey there everyone, I'm sorry for being absent on this for awhile. I skipped the entire month of January, so for those of you who were anticipating, "13 Hours", "Ride Along 2", "Fifty Shades of Black" & "Kung Fu Panda 3", my apologies. I've been very busy lately and I just have not been up to posting these topics, and I don't want to get further behind, what with the big Spring Season coming in a few weeks. So without further ado, here is what the month of February has for us as the Garbage Season of movies closes out.

For those of you who haven't heard by now, Ryan Reynolds is "Deadpool". A former Special Forces operative turned mercenary is subjected to a rogue experiment that leaves him with accelerated healing powers, adopting the alter ego Deadpool. Also starring Morena Baccarin, T.J. Miller & Ed Skrein.

The Coen Bros. direct, "Hail, Caesar!". A Hollywood fixer in the 1950s works to keep the studio's stars in line. Starring Josh Brolin, George Clooney, Alden Ehrenreich, Ralph Fiennes, Jonah Hill, Scarlett Johansson, Frances McDormand, Tilda Swinton & Channing Tatum.

Ben Stiller stars and directs the 15 year awaited sequel, "Zoolander 2". Derek and Hansel are modelling again when an opposing company attempts to take them out from the business. Also starring Owen Wilson, Penelpe Cruz, Will Ferrell & Kristen Wiig.

Gerard Butler stars in "Gods of Egypt". A common thief joins a mythical god on a quest through Egypt. Directed by Alex Proyas.

Joseph Fiennes stars in "Risen". Follows the epic Biblical story of the Resurrection, as told through the eyes of a non-believer. Clavius, a powerful Roman Military Tribune, and his aide Lucius, are tasked with solving the mystery of what happened to Jesus in the weeks following the crucifixion, in order to disprove the rumors of a risen Messiah and prevent an uprising in Jerusalem.

In "Race", Jesse Owens' quest to become the greatest track and field athlete in history thrusts him onto the world stage of the 1936 Olympics, where he faces off against Adolf Hitler's vision of Aryan supremacy. Starring Stephan James, Jason Sudeikis, Jeremy Irons & William Hurt.

In "How to be Single", New York City is full of lonely hearts seeking the right match, and what Alice, Robin, Lucy, Meg, Tom and David all have in common is the need to learn how to be single in a world filled with ever-evolving definitions of love. Starring Dakota Johnson, Rebel Wilson, Leslie Mann & Alison Brie.

In "Triple 9", A gang of criminals and corrupt cops plan the murder of a police officer in order to pull off their biggest heist yet across town. Starring Teresa Palmer, Kate Winslet, Casey Affleck, Woody Harrelson, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Anthony Mackie & Gal Gadot.

In "Pride and Prejudice and Zombies", Five sisters in 19th century England must cope with pressures to marry wealthy gentlemen, as well as protecting themselves from a growing population of savage zombies. Starring Lily James, Sam Riley, Jack Huston & Bella Heathcote.

Finally, in "The Choice", Travis and Gabby first meet as neighbors in a small coastal town and wind up in a relationship that is tested by life's most defining events. Starring Benjamin Walker & Teresa Palmer.

going to see deadpool today. i am very excited about this one. i have been waiting for it for a long, long time. as a bit of comic book guy, i have always had a bit of a soft spot for these movies. and as someone that enjoys violence, inappropriate humor and bad language, this seems like a shot at a real winner here.

I saw Hail, Caesar.

I happen to think the Coens are a national treasure, but this one was just ok. It was incredibly rich in terms of ideas and visuals and the various set pieces poking fun at the different classic hollywood genres were impressive.

To me though, it didn't quite come together as a satisfying whole. The Big Lebowski is similar (but much better) in the way it had all these skew threads (bowling, nihilism, bumbling noir detective piece, pornography, etc...), but that movie hit it out of the park. Maybe it's not fair to compare this new movie to Lebowski, but it's just not as good. Also, Hail, Caesar! is a comedy, but I can't help wishing it was funnier.

Friend told me him and fiancé walked out of Hail Caesar early.

It's Zoolander time for me. Long long wait for this.

It's odd. I haven't heard a single word about Zoolander, positive or negative. I'm sure it has everything to do with this being dead season for movies, but it's like that movie fell off the face of the earth before being released.

maybe it's a movie that just takes several viewings to pick everything up...i was never a fan of lebowski, but then i started catching it on tv and watching it, then again, then again, now you pick up some nuances etc and it all of a sudden clicked.
