Short term pain for long term gain isn't something this country does well

 

When I was very young, a Democrat POTUS said "My fellow Americans, ask not what your country can do for you, ask what you can do for your country".

 

A lot can change over the course of one lifetime.

Jack Kennedy has more in common with modern Republicans than Democrats.

 

And Ike has more in common with modern Democrats than Republicans.

One warned us about the mitary establishment and the other took them on, in a way.

 

In other news, it's finally that time of the season...when PPP gives me more cheer than TSW...
