'I don't want to hurt their feelings'

Recommended Posts

Dear Armenian Americans,

Barry got your votes based on a promise he never meant to keep. He doesn't need you any more.

Unless you have a pile of cash to give him. Then maybe he'll "evolve."

Sincerely,

Anyone who was paying attention in 2008.

Read the comments in the LA Times article to see all the libs arguing that it was over 100 years ago, and the Armenians need to get over it because it's in the past.

I can only wonder if they feel the same way about slavery.

The wonderful and charming Ben Affleck doesn't.

Everybody calls that the First Genocide of the 20th Century. The Pope's just restating general consensus.

And incorrect, at that. The extermination of the Herero in German South-West Africa was the before that. And the atrocities of the Congo Free State, though they started around 1890, lasted well past 1900. And British actions towards the Boers through 1901 arguably meet the modern definition of genocide ("ethnic cleansing" at least.)

But the Armenian Genocide was most certainly "genocide," and the Pope is right to call it such. Even if our mealy-mouthed President refuses to acknowledge it as 'genocide," even after acknowledging it as such as a senator. ****, even the Clinton administration used the word "genocide" when discussing the "genocide-like activities" in Rwanda. :wallbash:
