98-1 Bipartisan Vote In Senate Ignored by MSM

Obama Budget DOA in Senate, 98 to 1 Vote
Senate Democrats aren’t running away from President Obama, but you could call it a brisk walk. Supporters of a bill that would force the administration to submit any Iran nuclear deal to a congressional vote say they almost have Democrats on board to override a veto.
As for President Obama’s proposed federal budget, it looks as if almost no Democrat wants to be in the same room with it. Last night, the Senate voted 98 to 1 to reject a budget plan that had exactly the same tax and spending numbers as the blueprint the president proposed last month. The Obama plan still projects enormous federal deficits at the end of its ten-year budget window.
“This is the president’s proposed budget,” GOP Majority Whip John Cornyn of Texas told the chamber as he presented it for a vote. Democrats responded that the GOP was pulling a political stunt and that what was voted on didn’t fully reflect Obama priorities such as a minimum-wage increase.
“It is not what President Obama presented to the American people,” Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders. But the GOP was nonetheless able to score some points with the 98 to 1 rejection. (Delaware Democrat Tom Carper was the sole supporter.)
Republicans were able to point out that in and 2011 and 2012, the Senate had also rejected Obama’s budget numbers — both times without a single supporter voting for them.

I haven't seen this reported on any major outlets so we will have to make due with the raw data from senate.gov

http://www.senate.gov/legislative/LIS/roll_call_lists/roll_call_vote_cfm.cfm?congress=114&session=1&vote=00085

That's because the major outlets are still working on the "obstructionist Republican" angle.

And because budget votes are so 1900s...unaccountable spending via "continuing resolution" is all the rage these days (since it gives the president a de facto line-item veto of sorts.)

This is ridiculous. Perhaps the Senate was unable to comprehend the gatorman economic plan that the pathway to lower taxes begins by first raising taxes.

No, no, no. You failed to comprehend the nuances of gator's plan. The whole idea is for the U.S. to raise taxes so that they can get a better credit rating. When they get the better credit rating then they can borrow a bunch of money in order to reduce taxes. Follow along, wouldja?
